ENTJ here 😁 I think there's a degree of loneliness that often accompanies my personality type that's not talked about much, and of course ENTJs would never admit, but I often find it difficult to find mentors I respect or someone to confide in that can truly understand my struggles from my perspective and empathize. It's incredibly easy for me to spot when someone's being disingenuous or just feigning interest in the conversation for my sake, and I find it very distasteful and off putting, and I tend to more or less cut off people like that from my inner circle, but that doesn't leave many people left often times lol. Another side note: is it just me or do ENTJs as a whole tend to have an intensely strong desire for justice, and be very principled? I feel like my principles I've developed in life are a very strong part of who I am as a person, and when something's not right and someone is being mistreated, that's what pushes my buttons the most lol (just me or nah?)

The principle thing has always been very hard. Its why im genuinely always very surprised that ENTJs are categorised as ruthless or cold-hearted. I cannot work without integrity, and I cant work with people who don't have integrity and principles. Its my biggest frustration. I started my own business because I realised my tolerance levels for BS is zero. Recently one of my clients wanted to connect me to another client, a friend of his. When i asked him what kind of person this client was.....he paused, thought about it for moment and said 'well, he's a good person'. It sounded like he was giving me a very diplomatic answer. So i asked him to expand.....after another pause he admitted that he knew this client because they had worked together in the past but that he had grotesquely overcharged on a project ......it was something for charity, and for people who really needed the support and he had taken a pretty reasonable rate and multiplied it by 15....didn't even do a good job either. Not sure what I found more irritating - that he overcharged, that he didn't do a good job or that he has all the credentials to actually fool people into thinking he might actually do the right thing. Its enough to make my blood boil. Trust me, you're not alone.

I would also agree to the Loneliness but having other ENTJ friends is helpful, some of this stuff actually becomes quite funny when you're sharing it with someone who gets it.

Thanks a lot for the video guys. Here an ENTJ, normalizing (SLE-2Ti), 853 (8w7, 5w4, 3w4), ENTJ bordering on INTJ, very TJ. Harmonizing took my attention, because I worked as a physiotherapist for 20 years and I was exactly as you say. An example of miraculous results is that in one physiotherapy session I could remove pain that other physiotherapists had treated more than 60-100 times and had not been able to remove. After a period of suffering, I lost my hope in "human race", so I changed my job, even my subtype changed (now harmonizing is my last). The most interesting thing is that each year that passes, I feel younger, so I understand that harmonizing would be related to mental maturity (not to age). There are still people who see me as an INFJ, but that's just those people I feel close to and treat with great affection. ;-)

I was a creative ENTJ in my youth. Seeing, experiencing all the ‘fun’ youth get up to lol Then transitioned into dominant through my 20’s learning to control myself and now own business. The harmonizing aspect is coming into effect now as my ENTP GF has helped me be vulnerable and exercise that perspective function again (I was looped into my own worldview and HATED admitting I may be wrong considering someone else’s pov). Now, I’m going to back to creative for business and future planning while I learn to harmonize as I go along

This was super fascinating. You have simply described the phases of my life. I had very grand aspirations as an adolescence and did whatever I could to reach my goals (very dominant). I studied behavioral economics with many minor focuses in cognitive science, philosophy and psychology (creative). I worked many jobs but settled for a safe job in banking (normalizing). As I get older, I’ve slowed down, meditate, and become more at peace (harmonizing).

As a female ENTJ - wow! It’s a lot to share via text (asking for my insight)- a great idea 💡 would be to have ENTJ guests and/or give opportunity to leave voice comments. As for me personally, it’s too time consuming to be as detailed as we both would prefer. Voice commentary would open up more insights PERHAPS from ENTJ’s who would love to join the discussion to share our perspectives but grow exhausted at the gate at how much time it would take to give a thoughtful response via text. It’s not in me to give a half ass response to insight - I would imagine the same for other ENTJ’s - I would also gather that this also would be the primary reason why we all remain more of a mystery than other types…. Because we’ve got shit to do.😊

I found out I am ENTJ through a test at work but didn't think much of it as I am not interested in managing of leading people. A few years later I took the test again, twice, and came up as ENTJ. However, I am a historian, worked as a professional historian for a decade and now doing my PhD in history. I am the dominate in the creative subtype but shifted to normalizing which is probably why I feel stuck in a loop as they mention @37:00.

I've been struggling to identify my personality type with confidence. I'm stuck relating heavily to the harmonizing INTJ, creative ENTJ, and harmonizing ENTJ; the feeling I get when trying to pin myself to one of them with confidence, is precisely the same as trying to ask "what is your all-time favorite (insert topic e.g. food)". It's easy to list a top 5, but picking an all-time favorite renders you undecidable! It's the same with the enneagram, being totally undecided between type 3 and type 9.

The normalizing ENTJ and the ISTP are two personality types that share a preference for extroverted feeling (Se) as an auxiliary function, which makes them very practical, realistic, and adaptable. Both types seek to solve and improve the world through logical and pragmatic skills, and focus on autonomy and flexibility.

The fact is that all those subtypes are a reflection of how an ENTJ shows up based on life style and also age. I reflect on all those based on time and age. Currently working as aCEO, i mentor and lead. I have a law degree and i was a pilot in the airforce. One person can reflect all these types based on a lot of factors. I recall when i left my previous job in the UN , it took the UN to recruit 2 people in order to do my job. A lot can be said.

Hello, I appreciate your program. Very helpful, lots of detail! I was a Philosophy major in college, went to law school, I’m deeply interested in spirituality and non-duality, and shamanic practice! Hahaha 🤣 I’m an extroverted thinker. I’m quite drawn to the big picture questions about the meaning of life and how to end mental suffering.

although I prefer the creative subtype it’s been harder for me to make a living which required me to become more of a normalizing subtype. This caused periods of restlessness and feeling disconnected And at some points led to alcohol abuse and bad rebellious choices that seemed out of character for me and to other people My Creative became a hobby and leaning into that helped me function better thru adulthood. Now that I’m retiring I’ve really felt that Creative enter my everyday thoughts because it no longer has to make money or be a career This episode helped me realize maybe this isn’t just a passing whim and I should embrace this Creative need of mine now that it isn’t shackled by monetary results. Thanks I’m not weird after all

Damn. Sounds like I'm a normalizing ENTJ. Been working at a gum factory for 9 years and it changed me. I think I was creative before I started there. It's taken me the full 9 years to finish writing my sci fi book. Maybe I can work my way back to creative.

I might be this type. I have indentified a lot with the INFJ, but sometimes I come across as more strong or strongwilled, impatient and assertive than an INFJ. A creative ENTJ or even harmonizing could make sense. I grew up in a very dysfunctional family where I wasnt free to be myself, and that could have forced me to go more into my Ni for protection. I everything I do I always have a sense of: does this pay off on the longer scale and why am I doing this. That's Why I have never really identified with the 'I' m just doing it bare cause I want to' that I associate more with high Fi. And when I have been in the room with Infps and Enfp it strikes me how much more free they are in how they make decisions. I can be well charismatic and even quirly but my principles and vaseline de and for meaning and making sense put some harsher demands on my decisions in comparison.

Wow! When I was younger I tested again and again as ENTJ. But as an adult I did the deep dive and thought I was ENFP. But that didn't feel right either because I'm very good with details when they are in front of me and finding the flaw and reading people. The creative/harmonizing ENTJ is me. I even want to be a hypnotist! 😅 wow!

Why does mine changed from INTJ-A to ENTJ ?
@abrahamjoseph1673
@abrahamjoseph1673 Жыл бұрын
It's normal, and fluncates just because your an intj doesn't mean you stay like all the time I think it means that each function is what you rely on most, and that changes due to age, circumstances, and environment, like when I'm at home for the summer I test intj-a but going to college it's tested at Entj-a Ig it depends on the percentage of each function
