Just got my locs 6 days ago, and I’ve been looking at all your videos. I find them so helpful. Especially coming from a professional. Thank you so much.

Hi. Great info.. I am just a couple days locd and my hair is only like 2-3 inches long . I love to work out but have been scared cause it’s hard to grip short locs.. any help on how to prevent slippage or what I should do . Would a du rag help ? Or like bundling the perimeter with rubber bands??? 🥴

What should we do when we get slippage until our next re-tie? Nothing, two strand twist, btw I have Sisterlocs

Hi Sis! Please recommend a shampoo that aids in controlling dandruff and also oil for the scalp.I will be going for my 5th retightening!
@EnToiBeauty3 жыл бұрын
Hey, I would recommend the Rosemary Shampoo. Be sure to bundle since you are still very new. As far as the oil, you can use the Tea Tree Mint oil but double check with your consultant to ensure it's okay for you to use.

Can you please tell what products to use to start microlocs twist or braids?
@EnToiBeauty3 жыл бұрын
Hi, when I start locs with braids, I do not use products. When I start with two-strand twist, I use foam (to avoid buildup) to start (amzn.to/3IOOiTs or any soft foam will work). But I don't use products to maintain the loc. Hope I answered your question.

I absolutely love you videos they are so informative and I love your name that was my Grandma’s name and she was a very wise woman whom I adored😉 I have been locked for almost 7months now. Does slippage start at the ends or can it be at the base also. I went swimming and afterwards noticed that a few of my locks were loose at the base of my head similar to new growth but the ends were still together. Is that slippage also?
@EnToiBeauty3 жыл бұрын
Aww, thank you so much! Great question and I'll definitely have to do a part 2 to address the different type of slippage. But to answer your question, yes that is slippage. Slippage can happen at the root (base) of the loc, middle of the loc and at the ends of the loc. It's not a big deal if you experience slippage at the base. But if it's a lot, it may cause your retightening to be a little longer and depending on your consultant, they may charge extra for time.

What if you get color before locs? Is there an amount of time you should wait to get locs? Does the starter shampoo affect the color or cause breakage if you can't condition it?
@EnToiBeauty3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is usually recommended to get color before you loc your hair. But I would avoid doing blondes. Simply because you can't moisturize your hair enough with new locs. You can loc soon after your color as long it was done properly. If you start experiencing breakage before you loc, then wait to get hair healthy before locking. The starter shampoo will fade the color quicker and your hair will be more dry since you're unable to condition. Using a daily leave-in conditioner helps.

What are protective styles for working out?
@ljmoore32611 ай бұрын
I braid my hair into two “french braids” and bind the ends. Or braid individuals. The key is to let it dry before taking the braids down.

If you want to keep your curls at the end of your locks, do you not allow the ends to bud? Or do you let them bud and then once the locks are matured, you unravel the ends later? Thanks!

Hi. Can you please give examples of which oils absorb quickly. Thanks
@EnToiBeauty2 жыл бұрын
Individual oils: safflower, sunflower, chamomile, jojoba, abyssinian, hempseed, etc. If you need some combo oils, these are very popular on my site. They absorb quickly and very lightweight entoibeauty.com/beauty-%26-wellness-shop/ols/products/hair-scalp-oils

I’m 8 months into my sisterloc journey and the back of my hair is coming along beautiful. I can see my curl patter and the thickness. The other half of my hair, my sisterlocs are straight to wavy. I feel like I have two different textures. Would this be considered normal? Thank you in advance. 😊
@EnToiBeauty3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! That is completely normal. The top, crown area is always going to be looser that the back. The back will also lock quicker while the front takes its sweet time.
@mikapooh853 жыл бұрын
@@EnToiBeauty thank you so much for replying. I have been using the Sisterloc starter shampoo to hopefully assist with the front half of my hair locking. Thanks again.
