Love it! There are allot of myths flooding on social media. I heard one "retightening between 4 to 6 weeks is to soon"..doesn't it depend on the growth of the hair? People be applying their maintanence as the standard.

Yes, it depends on growth, size of Locs (parts), texture and density of hair.

I have really tender scalp, so for now, I do my retightening myself. I use the 4 way method because I go maybe 4-6 weeks between reties and my hair grows really fast. I really should get some of your products, they look very soothing... But I am in Nigeria, do you deliver here?

My hair keeps bunching up, doesn't lay flat and sticks out in different directions (I'm 3 months in). What can I do? Is it the loc rotation on reties, the fact that I braid it down at night or just my hair doing its thing? Also, what can I do about frizzing? Within a week my hair doesn't look as fresh. Is that just my texture?

With that pattern, I'd prefer the interlocking method. If you do the two strand twist method, I'd recommend protective styles to minimize bunching

You appeared on my feed and after watching 2 of your videos, I had to subscribe :) Thank you so much for the information. I’ve spent months researching micro locs and all the Locticians I found that I would love to do my hair lives in another state, so I did a DIY. I am 4 weeks in and my hair is so itchy because I workout and run. I will be washing my hair tomorrow, thanks to your video. I do have 1 question that I hope you get to answer, I found a few locs that feels like a knot at the base of locs, just after the new growth. Is that normal or did I do something wrong? I did 2 point rotation and 4 point rotation because my hair has 3 different textures. The back is super soft and thin, the middle is thick, and the front is a combo of both the back and the middle.

Thank you for subbing. The knot you feel could be due to the hair not being pulled all the way thru or sometimes the Loc wants to reverse. So you'd just make sure on the next retie to make sure to smooth it out before interlocking. Shampooing sometimes takes care of those issues because it loosens up.

Yes, sooner would be better. But be mindful of the amount of tension applied to the scalp

I do my own reties. I have a question. When i retie my hair, theres always a “bulb” that forms first. It makes my locs look inconsistent and “bumpy” if that makes sense. Is there anything that I can do to prevent that? I often wait 6+ weeks for a retie and my hair starts a loc on its own by then

You'll have to do 6 weeks or less to avoid that. That happens when you go too long without a retie and the loose hair start to mat at the base.
