I had the same reaction the first time I listened to it in the early 90s. Simply awesome.

"Left hand path" is a phylosophical/religious concept based on idea of following only your own will and not any other. So, following the "right hand path" means to obey god, master or someone else

Good music choice but you talk too much. Let the music talk. Especially a masterpiece like this.

it is good shit, for sure. and like other dude said, Bolt Thrower is pretty boss also. Also, earlier death metal, Possessed, first two Death albums, first few Obituary, this Entombed, malevolent Creations first one, Atheist first one (only one think), ATG Slaughter of the Soul, Alters of Madness, even the first few Carcass,...very differently recorded than what a lot bands do today.

fucken looove that raw sound on a lot of those bands, classicccccs

It was recorded before pro tools, so that's what's up with the volume difference

That section you react to at 4.20 actually has an explanation. The first things recorded in the studio were the drums (Nicke Andersson), with one temporary guitar (Uffe Cederlund) for reference. Then bass, vocals and the real guitar tracks were recorded. However, on that section the proper guitars never really worked. They were a bit out of sync. So in the mix, they pulled up only the temporary guitar for a few sections (because that was spot on) and it sounds quite different. Here endeth the lesson.

It's a classic album. Clandestine is pretty good too. The Wolverine Blues EP is dope. after that they changed a lot, style and personal, and declined quite a bit

Entombed set a benchmark in death metal with Left Hand Path and Clandestine. Then they evolved into that "death n roll" sound on Wolverine Blues. Morning Star is another classic album of theirs that showcases their unique later sound.
