I, for one, could definitely go without hearing drum triggers, DI guitar overdubbing, extreme master channel (no bus) compression, overloading 1K freqs, and drumdialed tuning of drums. I think what made death and thrash so great in the 90s and early days was simply its organic qualities. There were no severe advancements in digital tech, most recording was still somewhat analog and done by tape, drums in kit were tuned by hand (no dial work, no extreme attention to reverberating head tones), mics placed a bit more loosely, less mics too, guitar tones were dictated by the types of guitars and amps, vocals took a long time to record. Everything was more so organic. The thing that actually took time was getting the music correct in a correct take in the studio, not the production/mixing process. Tech is great and all, but when it out advances the musicians you end up with the current climate of metal and other various genres that depend upon said tech. Not saying its bad, but it's no ENTOMBED. Good on the ears, organic in the process.

One off my all time favorite death metal albums, the album has the right degree of death metal, you can understand the words, the songs are not brutal but certainly not soft, the songs are short, as should be in my opinion, and there's a rock n roll vibe to some of the songs, I used to see entombed on headbangers ball in the early nineties, good memories from the best years of my life 1987-1995, thanks to entombed for their first 3 albums, fantastic death metal

LG was unbelievable, he & Pelle "Dead" Ohlin had the two best black/death metal voices I've ever heard, raw & menacing. May their souls rest easy!

This may be the best metal song ever written. Todays metal is missing that raw connecting feeling. I really miss that pure mental and physical connection. We've lost something with this modern purified studio shit. anyways, it's sad that this is only at 1.9M views, the world would be better if this was >1B views. If anyone finds tickets to an entombed concert, please comment, I'm going regardless of where in the world it is.
