This is some of the hardest hitting shit I've ever heard, and I've been thru grind, power violence, harsh noise, and all sorts of genres of metal and hardcore. I've been listening to Entombed for 23 years now, since I was 13. Oddly enough, my first album of theirs was Uprising, which came out in '00. I finally got to see them almost by accident, as I won a ticket in an online contest to their show as Entombed A.D. It was a small venue show in Warsaw, Poland, somewhat like 4 or 5 years ago in Autumn, when they were touring with Aborted and Baest. Lars was the every fan's best friend - shaking hands, exchanging bear hugs and high-fiving everyone in the front row, then raising up a toast of beer to the crowd and enjoying a cup of espresso in between the songs. It all felt more like a family meeting than a gig, and it was such a fulfilling and gratifying experience for me as their lifelong fan. I even happened to meet some hometown friends... shots were drank and joints were hit later on in the parking lot :) I recall coming back home feeling blessed with this experience coming true and so happy with finally hearing mighty Entombed's classic material live. RIP LG Petrov, you will never be forgotten! P.S. cheers to the Danish fellas whom I've met on my way back. I told you guys that I told not to sit on an ice cold pavement in Poland during Fall... this shit gives you tailbone abcess, we call it "wilk" (a "wolf") in Poland and it infamously happens to lazy Tatra mountain hikers :)
