I never tried on a "mermaid dress", and from this show I learned not even to bother (I do have a mommy tummy after c-section). If one has not a trim, flat stomach, one will look... yes, pregnant. I notice my own tummy only from a side view. Sometimes, it takes an honest friend to say what everyone else is thinking, so it can be fixed.
@jemmaj29194 жыл бұрын
@@thekingsdaughter4233 can u fix it? Would that 'honest' friend make a difference in ur will to change it? Will ur friend pay for the fix? If the answer is no to all, u really don't need that friend, no one needs a friend that sits there picking out their flaws.
@thekingsdaughter42334 жыл бұрын
@@jemmaj2919 easiest fix? Choose a different dress. One that actually flatters. If you are dead set- shapewear. Industrial strength. I keep hearing both, "If you can't say something nice..." AND, when nobody said anything, "Gosh, who let her be seen like that? Has she no friends to tell her that... 'Friends don't let friends wear...' ...". Well, which is it to be? Can't have it both ways. Who's a better friend? Someone who never says what you don't want to hear? Or someone who brings up what _can_ and _should_ be changed? Her tummy _did_ look big in that dress which she may not have noticed in full frontal view, but everyone else did. She didn't even want a "mermaid" dress to begin with! Fix: different style of dress. Try one size up. Shape wear. Or simply... a different style of dress. Which she did, and so much the better.
@jemmaj29194 жыл бұрын
@@thekingsdaughter4233 but ur friend doesn't need to tell you "you look pregnant"? That's not an honest friend, that's a rude one. You can easily say "it doesn't flatter you, A-line will look better" that's also true but it doesn't pick on your flaws, doesn't dig into your self-consciousness, yet it achieves the same goal

She needed an interpreter, but that's all. A bride in a wheelchair may have special requirements for her dress compared with one who walks, and then there was one who is a "little person" and needed a dress that fit her size, but this bride needed nothing different.
