Can we appreciate how enthusiastic the translator sounded? She literally delivered the message very clearly and precisely to represent what the bride had said in terms of emotion and intonation! The bride looks so amazing in the last dress and kudos to Zoey for trying her very best to respect the budget and learnt the least sign language for this special bride!

I want to learn sign language because we have a deaf client at my work (I'm a vet tech). My school only holds the class if there are enough sign ups though so I might have to find something outside of the school. At any rate, one of the doctors and I have taken to writing back and forth with him. Moral of the story? Really everything else was irrelevant and the point is LEARN SIGN LANGUAGE BECAUSE NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE KNOW IT AND YOU MAY FIND YOURSELF NEEDING IT SOMEDAY.

My birthstone is opal, which is said to be a source of bad luck as well. I'm not at all concerned wearing them as I believe luck is either on one's side or it's not. S Kitty exactly, I’m a special needs teacher. Sometimes my kids get angry when people treat them differently. They just want to be treated like a normal kid. They want to fit in and have friends like all of us. That’s what she meant, sometimes people trying to “help them” just end up hurting them because they treat them like animals instead of people. Everyone should be treated with respect and having been born different doesn’t mean you need to do everything for them or treat them like a pet, thadts what she was trying to say.

Unfortunately, the way that the dress cut in under her abdomen accentuated her midsection. Would fat be any better way to say than pregnant? The cut wasn’t flattering on that first dress. I do believe people can create good luck with the way they think, treat others, and generally live their lives. Good and bad luck can't be created by a choice of jewellery. I'm from Germany, and especially perhaps in the North, pearls for a bride were a big NO. I'm inching towards 50, and that's what I heard growing up. It's because somehow, pearls are/were associated with _tears,_ and the saying was that a bride who wears pearls will cry a lot in her marriage. I kind of forgot about it- I got married in another country/culture and my earrings and necklace had pearls. I like to think that I cried no more than average, though; and we are getting close to 18 years of marriage ! ;-)

@@hmsims3 I got married in the States, and my sweet mother-in-law offered me her pearls for the "something borrowed". ;-) :-D My own jewelry actually had pearls in them - I did EVERYTHING wrong from my cultural heritage point of view - my dress was off-white (like milk), I wore pearls and had flowers in my hair instead of myrtle. But here we are, still married after almost 18 years! :-)

@Leonie it might be a Northern thing. Richtung Nordsee (oder auch Ostsee). Fischerdörfer und so. Or maybe, time has washed it away by now. I never tried on a "mermaid dress", and from this show I learned not even to bother (I do have a mommy tummy after c-section). If one has not a trim, flat stomach, one will look... yes, pregnant. I notice my own tummy only from a side view. Sometimes, it takes an honest friend to say what everyone else is thinking, so it can be fixed.
@jemmaj2919

@@thekingsdaughter4233 can u fix it? Would that 'honest' friend make a difference in ur will to change it? Will ur friend pay for the fix? If the answer is no to all, u really don't need that friend, no one needs a friend that sits there picking out their flaws.
@thekingsdaughter4233
@thekingsdaughter4233 4 жыл бұрын
@@jemmaj2919 easiest fix? Choose a different dress. One that actually flatters. If you are dead set- shapewear. Industrial strength. I keep hearing both, "If you can't say something nice..." AND, when nobody said anything, "Gosh, who let her be seen like that? Has she no friends to tell her that... 'Friends don't let friends wear...' ...". Well, which is it to be? Can't have it both ways. Who's a better friend? Someone who never says what you don't want to hear? Or someone who brings up what _can_ and _should_ be changed? Her tummy _did_ look big in that dress which she may not have noticed in full frontal view, but everyone else did. She didn't even want a "mermaid" dress to begin with! Fix: different style of dress. Try one size up. Shape wear. Or simply... a different style of dress. Which she did, and so much the better.

@@thekingsdaughter4233 but ur friend doesn't need to tell you "you look pregnant"? That's not an honest friend, that's a rude one.
