A genuinely great way of explaining how to create chances for throws.

mxjaz82...Thanks! It's about taking advantage of the entrances! Thanks again!

Again,great video. People resist. That’s a fact. I’m biased perhaps, but I feel Shuai Chiao best exemplifies using the Earth as a fist. Even with its unique entries and cross twisting it still needs tenderizing. It was said that once Chang Deng Sheng touched you, you were thrown. He was not at all average though. I wonder how he achieved this. In demos he was seamless, throwing our good man Daniel Weng like a rag doll, but it would’ve been nice to see him wipe the floor with lesser beings. I wish there was footage somewhere. The footage I’ve seen of master Chicoine’s method integrates striking with throwing as one movement, but the genius of it is that it can be broken down into modules where one can apply each segment as a complete technique that finishes a mofo off.

@azlaroc12 One could say that I'm biased, too, but I honestly never seen anything as brutal as Shuai Chiao.

Truth. I accidentally threw a guy clean on the dirt by accident. And I do mean clean and could be. Was striking, cause that's my jam, but my half-step entry stuck my knee behind his, I trapped the from hand and tried to shoot a straight. He turned into my knee, I kept contact with his lead hand and pushed lightly with my extended striking hand. It was so smooth, so unexpected. I was on my feet, he was perfectly not on his. The ideal of throwing.

@fis-tarts Nice! To me, throwing is the finish. Teacher always said, "When you throw him, you're safe."

This makes sense. I'm not one for throwing, but I've noticed that any off balancing technique works best, paradoxically when you're striking. Ever thought of doing a series on basic shuai jiao?

@championboy4782 Thanks. I have, but I really need a partner to throw. It is difficult for people to visualize watching a video. I have been looking for trees with branches that resemble arms, so it will be easier to visualize. I'll continue to try my best. Thanks again!

@@TheIronandSilk I second this. Even the forms would be aite. If i was in the US, I'd walk to your park. It's always a pleasure to learn from a master. And even if not a master, might as well be one from where I'm standing. Shuai Jiao is a national treasure. Alongside Chang's Hsing Yi. Or is it Hsing Jin?
@TheIronandSilkАй бұрын
@fis-tarts Lol, could be anyway, Hsing Yi, Hsing-I, Xingyi, Shing Yi. I once knew a girl named Yan. But, it was pronounced Yeen.

Hello Steve. Years ago, I was doing 8 Pieces of Brocade belt cracking. Have you seen or heard of that action? Also, I may be bias, but all applications have some form of Shuai Chiao.

@genebacha I know of Belt Cracking. I've never heard of the 8 pieces of brocade part. When you said, "All applications have some form of Shuai Chiao," all I can say is, "It better!" Lol.
