21:30 is a reference to the beginning of Half Life 2 at the trainstation where a metrocop orders you to pick up the can and to put it in the trashcan in order to get through. When you put it in the trashcan the metrocop will chuckle the same way your character just did.

Great to see you doing HL2 mods. Yeah moments like 1:08:10 make you appreciate Valve's level design. This puzzle is featured in HL2: Episode 2 once, and perhaps the level designer for this mod assumed players already know how to deal with it. In Valve's version, you are given a cache of grenades, and the device is linked to a turret while being the only thing you can interact with, and the player is situated in limited space so they don't wander off looking for the solution elsewhere. The pieces are there for the player to glue together in their head. Oh, and I'm not about that crouch-on-C life. but you do you lol.

EZ 1 is good ,but EZ 2 is the best ,because EZ feels like any other mod for Half life 2 ,but EZ 2 it's almost like standalone game ,introduces a lot new things to story and gameplay.

@@CRT_YT I mean… I really don’t enjoy Soulslike games so Elden Ring never interested me. GOW Ragnarök was very cool but it didn’t surprise me and amaze me as much as EZ 2 did.

@@CRT_YT Yeah! Stray is fun until the novelty of playing as a cat wears off, which happens quick. Didn't play Kirby.. Forbidden west is fun but besides the graphics I felt it missed an opportunity to really improve the formula of the first game. Sifu was pretty badass lol. But EZ 2 just left a bigger impression because of how much cool stuff it pulled off with the Source engine and because of the great story it told. Keep in mind, this is just MY opinion. I completely understand why you may think differently.

To clarify what happened at 38:40, you activated the strider cannon and it blew up part of the building and cleared a path for you. And for the stealth segment, the idea is to push the rolly thing and use it to hide you as you crouch walk with it.

@@DavidEcclestonSmith yeah the mod is great but it really lacks that professional polish, and understandably so. It's one of those things where you have to say "it's really good... for a mod." Although the sequel REALLY stepped up the quality

I haven't actually played this one but I completed Entropy Zero 2 a few months ago, it's amazing! Looking forward to when you get to the sequel, the improvement in quality is substantial.

Even tho I'm happy the mods are free, I feel bad the devs can't monetize their great work because this is something worth paying for. I don't know why a crappy mod like Hunt Down the Freeman is sold for 10$ but Enropy Zero 1 & 2 are completely free. I feel like 10$ for EZ 1+2 bundle would be a fair price, unless that was the decision of the devs and it's not Valve related.

You can easily press c with your thumb, so you could still press e. As for ALSO moving, that's still a problem on control.

The first EZ is amazing, though it does have a fair share of small issues like the puzzle at 1:08:10 not being clear and the moment at 38:40 not being properly conveyed. That said, it's still really good otherwise. The second EZ, without saying anything about it, is an absolute masterpiece from start to finish, in both story and gameplay.

44:52 - there is a bug in the Half-Life 2, when you press croach button, then release and press it again, your body stay in the croach state, but your camera lift up like you just stand up.

The biggest problem I see with this mod is that it fails to signpost sufficiently. As you said, Valve excel at pointing you toward where you need to go- not necessarily what you need to do, but at least where you need to go. That bit with the grenade, if the game had at any point made it clear that you needed to pass through behind that machine, you might have been able to deduce that the infinite grenade crate and the machine are related somehow. This could have been as simple as showing a doorway behind the machine, and scrape marks along the floor, maybe a dust silhouette on the wall where the machine WAS sitting, to show that it had been moved to block the door. Something to show the player that a passage was blocked.
