Its a 2 stage pump that’s kicking out of high flow low pressure into low flow high pressure. Its to get a little more flow for cycle speed when your not in high load (like cracking a log) it takes way less power to make high pressure with a small displacement pump so they can get away with using a smaller engine and still having a decent “empty” cycle time. Some two stages pumps have an adjustable relief pressure to make the high flow stage stay engaged a little longer, your limiting factor would be engine power. Good looking splitters, thanks for showing them off!

Just ran in to your boy Larry at the Erie County Fair. Told him I saw the Hi-Boy on your channel this morning. Slick little set up.

Is the conveyor speed adjustable?
@EverythingElliott Жыл бұрын
Yes, based on what rpm you run the engine at. I just run it at idle and it runs plenty fast for what I’m doing

It would be interesting to see the operating pressures were between the two splitters

I didn’t put a gauge on this one but I’d be willing to bet they are about the same.

The more woods I play with, the more I’m seeing about 10-12 ton is all one needs to split woods with a single or 4-way wedge. The 35SHO was still under 15 tons though even on a 5” cylinder on a box wedge

Was the operating height of this splitter the same as the other CLS splitters? It seemed like you needed to bend over slightly to operate this machine. I didn't notice that on the others.
@EverythingElliott Жыл бұрын
It’s the same height as the super splitter, both of which are shorter than the animal. I find the animal to be about perfect height for me

Why dont they have prices on their website? "Request a quote" --- no thanks. Just post the prices please
@EverythingElliott Жыл бұрын
They are stuck in the olden days apparently...I've told the owner that prices need to go on the website, but since they operate through a dealer network, the local dealer sets the price...
