Laura Leaves Town - Part 1 of 2
November 12th, 2008
Laura returns to the house and tells Lucky to find Lulu and Nikolas. Meanwhile she tells Luke that she went to see Tracy.
When Lucky, Nikolas and Lulu get back she tells everyone that she's decided to go to Paris to get treatment so she will no longer slip in and out of catatonia.
Laura says her goodbyes to Lucky and Nikolas.

Yeah I hope so too. But right now Luke is "dead" which I don't believe. What do you think? :) I hope when GH gets cancelled someday, that Luke and Laura get back together. Sure I love Doc and Laura together so much, but I love Luke and Laura together more.

@@sonyab1974 Honestly after seeing recent pics of Tony Geary he looks so old; I don't think he will ever come back to GH. If he did he might have to play Laura's long lost father and the kid's grandfather, lol. Maybe when Genie decides to retire in 10 or so years, they might just do a non close up of Luke waiting on the pier for her to go into the afterlife together.

Feels like déjà vu the writers can’t stand to see anybody happy. First, Luke and Laura, then Holly and Robert and I guess now Spencer and Trina. definitely shitty writing all I can say is they must be really unhappy people to write so terribly with never a happy ending.

Melody Goodman Laura suffered a mental breakdown in 2003 after she and Luke decided to remarry for the last time but before that happened Laura wanted her original wedding dress which was in the Scorpio attic over the garage and also the place where Ric was having an affair with a nurse Laura found out about it and accidentally killed the nurse and Ric gave Laura a sedative and drug to calm and suppress the memory of Laura killing Theresa! Laura started remembering the accidental murder of Theresa and when she saw Ric again in the attic it brought back memories and Ric was trying to calm Laura down and comfort her but Laura thought Ric was coming after her and she hit Ric on the head killing him but it was actually Scotty Baldwin who killed Ric not Laura but both memories flooded back together and she had a nervous breakdown she went to london for treatment eventually ending up in shady brook! Luke’s guilt over Laura and losing her took him over the deep edge but he became more aware that Laura wasn’t coming out of her catatonic state and moved on with several characters including summer and Tracy

@@bethstreich6565 Like Melody said the writers and Guza screwed this all up. They totally rewrote the story of Luke and Laura. First stupid lie was the Nikolas storyline, total BS. Second biggest lie, Luke had an affair with Holly and he is the father of Ethan, total BS. Third biggest lie, the entire rewriting of Rick Webber and ruining the history between Laura and Rick, total BS. Laura going into that stupid cationic state, just an excuse to not give Genie Francis the same contract that Tony Geary had. They absolutely tanked their ratings by doing this to the fans. They would only seem to bring Genie back when they needed a quick ratings boost to not get cancelled.

Such emotional moments between Laura & her boys. I think both actors did a good job of playing wounded guys but very loving and thankful to their mom & how she raised them despite difficult circumstances of mostly turmoil but also some special moments of when they were growing up. No one could ever fault Laura for not loving her family above everything else.

I actually think Genie and Greg have great chemistry. And I thought so with her last return in 2006 too. It's as if he "gets" the old Lucky history, even though it was Jonathan Jackson who shares that history...Greg plays perfect with Genie. I love the chemistry between them. Genie needs to be back for good! And I don't care WHAT ABC is thinking, or how "realistic" they think it is to have TG go his own way (Tracy...love?! PU-LEEEZ!!) Luke & Laura need to find their way back, yet again.

Yes "given a little bit of time" it would be as strong as ever. But that's why Guza won't have Laura back full time. Even his hack ass knows that giving the audience time to see Tony and Genie interact as L&L is enough to blow the roof off this "changed" Luke and his horrid anti-romance with Tracy. You can not have Genie onscreen and expect anyone, save a few Lunacy nuts, and not expect L&L to be together. Guza is robbing them of time in a desperate effort to convince us Luke belongs wiht Tracy.

It's hard to rewatch this scene, and realize how different things are between Lucky & Liz based on the last month or so on GH. If Laura was back she'd be heart-broken abt what has transpired but I highly believe her influence & love would greatly help the characters ( and of course GH in general...that's assuming the writing would be much better & less mob-focused...)

It's really something how Luke never really worked but they always had money to fly all over the world any time they decided to, for years. Did Lucky ever go to college? Laura is in a nice hospital for 4 years too, they weren't married so any insurance he had wouldn't pay it. Now in the drop of a hat she's going to live in France. Nik didn't know so he didn't fund all that. Luke always had a way to make money, all those years, & took good care of his family. ( Lucky's character shouldn't have gone from looking like Laura, short & blonde, to this dark haired guy tall guy who is nothing like the original.) Luke was WAY too proud to live off a woman too. You gotta wonder why these writer's were so clueless & stupid. They were complete disasters.

Nikolas probably covered all the bills for Laura. Remember he and Lucky "hid Laura from both Luke and Stefan" for quite some time and Nikolas put her in some place in Europe I believe and then where Lulu went in Port Charges I guess they transferred her back there. But the story was that Nikolas and Lucky took care of Laura and Nikolas said he paid for all of it. Now it looks like Nik is taking care of his mother's trip to France also. He is the oldest son and always took that responsibility seriously..RIP Tyler Christopher I miss him so much, thanks Goodness we can still go back and watch GH and see him..

This is why I stopped watching GH for a decade or more. Luke and Laura reunite. Big sendoff. Then, a big surprise they're back. All total, they didn't spend that much time together.

whoa can someone plz tell me what happen to laura???because the onyl thing i remember the last time was when luke & laura got married after she came bck & then after she got married bck with luke we all found out that laura was going back to a catonic state.i guess i didnt watch GH for a long time & didnt pay attention.but what happened to laura once she came bck again in '08?i need a story on what happened plz?!

Either in 2002-2003 Laura was getting over Stefan and she was running deception magazine Luke convinced Laura that he needed her catching a con man on a cruise so Luke and Laura became Loyd and Lucy one last time on a cruise but it was Luke who was tricking Laura who was furious with Luke but after talking both Luke and Laura decided to remarry this also came about because of all the stunts that Helena Cassadine pulled with her not so dead son Stavros who wasn’t dead! Luke and Laura were planning another wedding and Laura wanted her father to give her away and she wanted her first wedding gown to wear which was in the attic at her old house which was now owned by Mac Scorpio so Laura went to the Scorpios attic to find it and it triggered a memory of Laura had suppressed since before she even married Scotty Baldwin! Rick was having an affair with a nurse from GH and Ric had stopped the affair but the nurse was attacking Ric so Laura thought and she had killed the nurse and Ric had injected her with a drug to block out the memory! Laura was 16 when she killed that nurse and going to the attic and seeing Ric there her memory returned and she went hysterical on Ric and was going to give a sedative to calm her down so Laura grabbed a candlestick and hit Ric over the head killing him after she killed Ric Luke panicked and Luke and Laura went on the run again but Laura was having a breakdown so Luke brought her GH and the ghost of the dead nurse was haunting her so she had a mental breakdown and ended up at shadybrook hospital never charged with Rics death Robin had heard of an experimental drug that could bring Laura out of her catatonic state but only briefly so she received that drug in 2006 and came out of it only briefly Luke was hopeful that Laura could be there for kids especially Lulu who had an abortion and wasn’t handling it well she was doubting herself but Luke knew that Lulu needed her mother so he risked it to help Lulu who also felt like she wasn’t loved by her parents because Luke would always take off on her on his rescues of other people! In 2004 -2005 Luke married Tracy in Las Vegas and when Laura came out of her Catatonic state she got emotional when she saw Lulu for the first time in 4 years so Laura wanted to get married to Luke like they were supposed to but because of Laura’s breakdown they didn’t so Luke put together an impromptu wedding on the same day as Carly and Jacks wedding so Carly and Jacks gave Luke and Laura there wedding day and everything was perfect but Laura began losing time and she was relapsing back into her Catatonic state but not before reassuring her kids especially Lulu that she was indeed loved and understood why Lulu had an abortion
