hey Jordan, fell in love with your work instantly. On what do you draw all these? is it a cintiq or is it a normal pen tablet? ive been using pen tablets hut ive always wanted to use a pen display but theyre way out of my budget. And does it really make a difference?
@JordanGrimmer4 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thank you for the kind words :) I'm using a really old Wacom Bamboo tablet still, I've been using it for years. Not a fan of Cintiqs myself unfortunately, they don't really suit how I paint. And I really don't think they make any difference at all, they're all about preference. Don't think you'll make better art because of the hardware you've got, it's all about what you're putting into it. Don't rush and waste money on something expensive, just use something cheaper!
@ZEBASS4 жыл бұрын
Hello Jordan, big fan of your work here. I have a couple questions if you don't mind: Instead of saying "can I have your custom shapes?" I will say: Could you give me some tips to create my own custom shapes? i.e. you draw textures and save them, take them from photos, etc. And also, if you could recommend a small set of must-have custom shapes in order to paint more efficiently, I would be very grateful. My first guess would be getting a rocky texture, some leaves and perhaps a couple architecture shapes.. but I'd like to hear your opinion on how to help a guy who's on the slower side of artists because he paints most things as if it was a traditional pencil drawing. Thanks in advance!

Don't beat yourself up if you're finding it hard to draw from imagination, it's incredibly hard to do if you haven't got that information learnt in your head already. You have to study, draw and paint the things you want to sketch to be able to draw them from your head. Keep drawing and studying and you'll find it sticking in your brain :)
