Peggy Shepard and WEACT are just amazing, they have been able to capture and verbalize not just the problems but effectively implement the solutions that are the cures. I had never heard of scarfice zones before this video, when clearly they exist - even on Staten Island. Amazing and well done. Beryl Thurman, North Shore Waterfront Conservancy of Staten Island, Inc.

moving costs money. money that many people don't have. living in low-income areas exposed to environmental hazards may be the only property that many families can afford. i'm sure if they could "move away from them" they would.

move? ha. People shouldnt have to live like that in the first place.
