Hi! Thanks for the video, it's really good! I am quite confused berween brands, features etc... For what I have seen, I'm in between this backpack and the Gregory Jade 53, because I'm going to do mostly trekking. Any recomendation?? Thank you!!

Hi, thanks so much for watching! The Futura Vario and Jade both use tensioned mesh, so ventilation and carry will be similar across the packs. The option to expand the Futura Vario's capacity will be convenient if you're not sure exactly what your gear will be. Overall, either pack will be good for trekking and our best advice is to try on both packs if you can. Happy Trails!

Hi there! Thank you so much for this video, they are always super helpful! I'm debating between this pack and the Deuter Aircontact 50+10 SL for overnight and shorter backpacking trips. What is more appealing to me about the Futura Vario 45+10 SL pack is the organization and additional pockets. My question is if the straps over the sleeping bag compartment would be appropriate to hold an ~5 lb backpacking tent and still distribute the weight appropriately on the Futura pack. Thanks!

You're quite welcome! While the sleeping bag straps would likely support a tent of that weight, it may depend on the size of the tent itself, and whether the straps are long enough to encompass the diameter. Underfilling the sleeping bag compartment can create more room to strap things there though!

Hi! Which one would you recommend, the Deuter futura vario 45+10 sl or the Deuter Aircontact 50+10 sl? I am looking for a backpack that I can use both for traveling (about one month) and for camping/trekking. Thank you!!

Hi Luis! A lot of the decision will come down to which backpanel you prefer. If you want more mesh/ventilation, then go with the Futura Vario SL. If you like more padding and less ventilation, then the Aircontact SL will be better. Happy Trails!

Hi! I'm between bying this one, and the Osprey Aura AG 50. I have an old shoulder/neck injury with hypermobility that leaves me easily tender and stiff with weight on it, and prominent collarbones. Which one would be the better option for relieving the pressure in that area? Best regards, from Norway.

The suspended mesh on the backpanel of the Aura is continuous through the hipbelt, and may do a better job of distributing weight to the hips. However both packs have isolated harnesses, and so the best test may be to try them on, if you can.

Hi, Can i remove the top lead?(idk if is correct, my english is bad, sorry). I know there isn't a natural feature like aircontact and aircontact lite, but is possible to remove?

Which Futura is the upgraded version of this? Is this backpack good in 2022 or maybe there are more improved versions?

Hello Jack thanks for the interest today, and yes thanks to the Mobile VariFlex ECL hip fins on the Trek 45 + 10SL it will certainly help distribute the weight.
