More than 20 years ago, I went to a nursery school. This song was played during the nap time. It was very impressive to me. And now I'm 27 years old. I suddenly remembered this song and searched for it on KZbin. I didn't even know the title of the song, so it was very difficult to find it. However, I found it at last😭 Listening to this song makes me feel very nostalgic. I’m very happy to listen to it again. I'm Japanese, but I tried my best to write a comment in English. Thank you for reading!

Also, I think those old big earrings were beautiful and cool. Finally about the song, I would consider it one of the best ever created since it has it all: melody, pulse, amazing sound, inspiring lyrics (...with a dream to believe in...) and a beautiful choral voice sung in one of the world's biggest language as well as one of the absolutely smallest. @@joetheman8550 The issue is that she was the first vocalist to use what would later become our modern "Autotune" sound - highly processed and layered, loads of acoustic treatment and a bit of echo, like a one person choir section. And for a lot of early people who listened to it, it did sound overly processed and fake. Now, everything sounds like this? Go figure. What a difference 30 years makes in musical tastes. Thankfully she has moved away from this/it's been smoothed out quite a lot due to modern technology. A Day Without Rain is amazing in how it hits that fine line between processed and not. It appears as if she recorded the same lines several times and overdubbed them to get that sound on the album, with loads of wide 8-10 note chords (yay modern sequencing software!) underneath.
