to all the folks saying that it’s relaxing, absolutely, yes, it is. but it is so much more than that. it’s not ambient music. if you really listen to the lyrics here, they are sad and helpless; there’s an insatiable ache at the center of the song. not to mention the fact that it’s Enya’s first dream pop song. she’s never produced a song like this one and it is the best song on the album, IMO. what i love about Enya is that while her music IS comforting, it’s also honest. it’s frank and does not shy away from the cold reality of heartbreak or lost love. it’s multiple things at once. it’s just brilliant.

In 1989 I was ntroduced 2 Enya & I was smitten, I couldn't get enuff of listening 2 her. Then we moved & I hadn't heard her as yr's slipped by till we got with Comcast t.v. cable n '14' & they have beautiful music channels: easy listening & soundscapes, there, I heard China Rose & Memory of trees & I was bk hm n my spirit. Then, ONLY 1 wk ago one of my cuzins brought up the songs of Celtic Thunder on FB & that's when I found Enya on You Tube. Now, I listen 2 her & it's sad 2 say, but a day without listening 2 her is a day without sunshine. I've been listening 2 an angel & looks like one. Many of her songs r sad which makes me wonder if she did ndeed lose a love n her life. 'Even n the shadows' is one of my faves. She was raised up by the Almighty Hand 2 bring 2 the PPL luv, joy, sorrow & tears & just 2 b still n r spirit & go on a journey of another kind that transcends all that we know like soaring n2 Heavens's Heights! For years I used to listen to the metal musics as well,along with a variety of other music like this. After finding salvation,I knew I needed to get away from the metals&a few of the other types of music I listened to for so long,but I knew it would be difficult to walk away from these on my own. You may believe me,or you may not but the truth is I started praying asking for help getting the things out of my life I knew shouldn't be there,&some of the music was what I really focused on getting away from. I not only asked for help turning away from the wrong things I had a strong desire for,but I also asked God to replace what I was walking away from with something good that I would like just as much or even more.Within a few days time I heard the first song of the music that I knew was being sent to me as an offering to replace the other.I was shocked&amazed as I'd never heard anything like it at that point and I wasn't even aware such music existed. I made it clear that I would be quite pleased if only there were other groups with other songs that had this sound and I was thankful for being shown/hearing this music for the first time.Within a very brief time I heard more and more of this music and became so interested in it that walking away from what I knew I shouldn't be listening to became very easy. This was something I didn't think was possible either.I thought I would be struggling with giving up the music that had been my favorite for years to come&possibly for the rest of my life.I was so blessed that it just didn't turn out that way.I have no trouble at all changing the station,turning my stereo off,&even walking away when someone else has the old music playing now.Most of it I actually just can't tolerate listening to anymore. It's not always this easy,but when you choose to do right,especially for the right reasons,&much more so when you're giving something up by doing it, God will make a way for you.All you need do is ask,believe,&live the best life you can live and God will cause great things,even miracles to happen for you.

Enya has just got the absolute purest tone and clarity in her voice. My undying wish is that she could somehow tour, especially here in the UK, so I could see and hear her live, but I do understand and get it that it's so difficult to replicate the layered lyrics and music that makes her music so brilliant.
