By my maths you used almost 500g of product there (28L x 15g/l and two 30g scoops for the keg and fermentor). At £15 for 750g its a pricy product! I'd suggest completing filling a fermentor and letting it sit is overkill. Putting 5L in and then agitating is probably almost as effective, similar to the keg.

That would be the way for most circumstances, yes. We wanted to show that when you have a very filthy FV or other vessel that you can do a deeper clean and remove all the debris really easily. The other option is some for of CIP spray ball for the FVs, works a treat like that too

Been using EnzyBrew for a bit now. Found it works better than PBW and it's non foaming for my cip setup. Couldn't believe how much crud it cleaned out of my all in one system which has always been cleaned with PBW.

Funny, bloke on the right, said "not cleaned the fermenter after its use" I use mine as a keg too, siphoned off using the kit provided. So mine was well crusted, hope it works!

I've Bought this after watching this video as I wanted somthing kinder on the emviroment. One thing that isn't mentioned is that this stuff has a very distinct smell. I cleaned my g40 yesterday an it still smelt today when i added my water. I had rinses everything down afterwards. Hopefully it won't effect todays brew.

That's odd, we've not noticed any lingering odour when we have used it, only the smell of whatever it is we've been cleaning i.e yeast and hops in and FV. How did the brew go? No issues?

Above 50°C conflicts with recommendations by both Kegland and Keg king for PET vessels used for pressure fermenting. If you could get these manufacturers confirm it's safe to use at between 50 and 60°C on those PET vessels it would help.

Hi, we flashed up on screen the advised max temps for the available PET products. Having tested ENYBREW at the temperatures rated for each we can confirm that it works brilliantly at those temperature for each of them.

Yes I had to rewatch the video missed it the first time. It was a very brief 😂. Really need much more clarity on using with those PET products. I've been googling like mad this morning😂. I did see instructions on Geterbrewed for using it at 45 to 60°c 🍻

So what temperature do the enzymes denature at? Reaction speed doubles for each 10 C rise, if they survive at 70 takes half the time of 60 and 4 times quicker than 50. That apollo did not look clean at the bottom at all, my five year old fermentasaurus cleans up better than that with PBW and rub. PBW seems to work for ages how many times can I reuse this stuff and does it foam if used via CIP? When i tip it down the drain what happens to degrade it? Can it go in a septic tank?

Thanks for the video. Looks like a nice cleaner. It seems rather expensive to use as a daily driver though. Cleaning your hot side, fermenter and keg would result in 10+ scoops? My first thought as a homebrewer is - how little can I use and have it still be effective?
@themaltmiller8438
@themaltmiller8438 3 ай бұрын
Good point, we've used in lower doses when you just need a light clean, also you can slot it in between other cleaning solutions for specific purposes. For example when you want to run a deep clean on your brewing system, also you can use it via CIP which can mean less needed as you use a smaller volume of water.

Just mix Enzybrew 10 with some cheap oxi action crystal white powder. Like Oxi Clean White . It saves you loads of money. 90% oxi action crystal white powder with 10 % Enzybrew10. The downside with EnzyBrew 10 is that is leaves a white haze on the Stainless Steel. So i always use cleaning vinegar to rinse after PBW or Enzybrew10.

Hey Mark, ENYBREW is a cleaner, it will be perfect to use after fermentation to clean the vessel. BUT, do not skip the sanitiser stage as it is essential. Use Starsan or Chessman for a final rinse then you should be good to go.

Two options, strip the components down and soak them or our preferred method which is to add a little pressure to the keg and blow the cleaner through the product out side with a disconnect and a little beer line, leave some in the line and repeat a few times. Works a treat!

Whats this like with infections . Or if iv been using a belguim strain in the fermenter will it handle that or do i still need bleech .. Also whats the shelf life once made . Ie will it still work after a day or 2 if left in the fermenter for a deap clean . Is it ok on crome and mettle . Thanks . Also

It will break down organic matter, so it should be effective at removing anything that may cause infection however you still need to sanitise and if you have had an infection we recommend you strip down your FV, boil any small stainless steel parts and seals, clean the tank by hand and scrub. Then you can reassemble, use a cleaner such as Enzybrew and sanitise before use, should do the trick. It needs to be used warm/hot so the effects will diminish as it cools however you can leave to soak overnight if you want, we have done this and it's fine. It's fine on metal 👍🏻

It will break down organic matter, given that scale is mineral based I'd think not. We have had success with it breaking down beer stone but not tried on scale specifically. Have you tied Kilrock? That stuff is amazing! www.themaltmiller.co.uk/?s=kilrock&search_id=1&post_type=product&v=79cba1185463

@themaltmiller8438
@themaltmiller8438 5 ай бұрын
It needs rinsing. We need to make sure it is understood that there is a difference between cleaning and sanitising. There are some products that claim to both clean and sanitise. We feel that is a compromise in both. We much prefer to treat it as two steps and use the best products for each. As such use ENYBREW to clean then finish with a no rinse sanitiser such as Star San or Chemsan www.themaltmiller.co.uk/product-category/chemicals/equipment-chemicals-sterilising/?v=79cba1185463
