One of the best sequels ever. Bar none. Won't accept anything to the contrary. Chris and Jackie have some of the best chemistry of any acting combo in any movie I've seen, and this flick proves even more how great they are together. I don't hold out hope for a Rush Hour 4, but I'd definitely be happy if they did it!

Jackie has done a lot of sequels to multiple franchises. This was the first one for Tucker and he got a $20 million payday. All of this one is magnificent. Such a step up from the original. Chan & Tucker just own it from front to back. Doubled up on everything that made the first movie great. Def Jam also turned out another smash soundtrack along with the single, 'Area Codes' from Ludacris feat. the late Nate Dogg. The supporting cast with John Lone as Ricky Tan (The Hunted, The Last Emperor), Zhang Ziyi as Hu Li (Croutching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; Memoirs of a Geisha), Rosalyn Sanchez as Isabella (Devious Maids) and Don Cheadle's appearance as 'Kung Fu Kenny' is real good. Aside from Chris Tucker being known for his MJ impressions, Tucker actually became good friends with Michael Jackson. They ended up making the video for "You Rock My World" (good watch too). Rush Hour 3 was going to be in New York and Jackie was excited for it. One of his first American studio films was on location in N.Y., "The Protector" (1985). When 9/11 went down, Hollywood had to fall back a bit. Some films in development were too close to home. Even Jackie was going to do a movie with the working title "Nosebleed", that was coincidently about the twin towers and a terrorist plot. RH3 is set in different places. Other than that, RH2 was one of the best summer films of 2001.

Chris and Jackie didn’t really become friends until this movie was filmed i watched a lot of interviews with Jackie talking about it and Chris! Jackie was the one who got Chris to start doing most of his own stunts for this film, he trained with him too! That’s why we actually see Chris doing most of his stunt in this film I was surprised to see him fighting so well 😂

The Desert Inn was demolished on October 23, 2001. In Dog We Trust Fact: The counterfeit dollar bills used in the movie have "In Dog We Trust" printed on them. During the filming in Las Vegas, about $1 Billion in convincing prop money was blown up during a scene, but some bills escaped destruction and ended up in circulation. Some of the extras walked off the set with some of the fake cash and it eventually ended up in a few casinos. The situation went so out-of-control that production was briefly shut down when the FBI subjected the props department to an investigation to determine whether or not they violated the Counterfeit Deterrence Act of 1992.

I will always, always have a soft spot for this movie. It was just one of those classic comedy movies you or your parents always had on the DVD shelf growing up. And man, I'd play this in the background of my room all the time as a kid, special features and everything. There isn't a week that goes by where I don't reference or say a line from this movie lmao *"You don't jump in front of a black man in a buffet line, what's wrong wit you?!?" Fun fact: on stuntmen crew reacts, they revealed that the end stunt where they swing and do the loop before the pole turns at the end.
