I love Ziyi Zhang (Hu Li) in this movie. She plays a villain so well, rocks a red lipstick, and makes a great femme fatale. She was also great in Godzilla: King Of The Monsters as Dr. Ilene Chen and Ling Chen. One of my favorite comedic parts: Carter: Just tell me how the Triads gon' kill us. Lee: They will torture us for three days. Carter: I can handle that. Lee: Then they will cut off our eggrolls. Carter: Cut off our eggrolls? Hell no! Let's get the hell outta here! Side note: Michael Jackson watched this movie around the time he was planning out his short film for the song "You Rock My World" and contacted Chris Tucker for a guest starring role and Chris stated in interviews that Michael told him "I've seen your movie Rush Hour 2, you're kickin' with the wrong leg".

They were illustrating how important sound can be and after the students managed to stop laughing hysterically the point was made.

The explosive device at the beginning was most likely made with DETA sheet. The material is basically the same as C4, but it's very compact and thin, making it much easier to slip into ordinary mail deliveries than huge boxes that might be more likely to draw suspicion. The detonation is often triggered by opening the envelope.

Dawn based on things you asked in this: Yes, Bamboo is used for scaffolds in Asia. It's as nearly strong as steel (in this application) and way cheaper. It's just too expensive to ship to other countries. On the other hand, it grows damn near anywhere and will quickly take over most areas because it grows so fast. The other downside is the need to tie it securely to make it strong. Most Western safety agencies won't allow it to be used. See the movie Eastern Promises. Seriously. I won't explain why, and it doesn't need to be for the channel, but it will tick several boxes for you. "Kung fu" means a physical action. Technically dancing is "Kung fu". Chinese fighting arts are more accurately called wu shu, (war arts), but kung fu is accepted to mean the same thing most of the time. There are also thousands of forms of it. Drunken boxing, monkey boxing, snake style, white crane, white eyebrow, mantis style, wing chun, tiger claw, Hung-Gar are all forms of wu shu/kung fu, and most have distinctive looks that will some one know which form it is after just a few seconds. What Jackie does is a sort of blending of several forms, which he learned in a school dedicated to performing. Think of it like professional wrestling. The things he learned are mostly practical, and he's really good, but the focus was more on show than effectiveness.

Yea I’ve noticed each of the three Rush Hours has one scene each that persistently trips up and is misinterpreted by most reactors In this one, it’s Carter’s ingenious carpet ‘smoke screen’ The reason he lifted the rug up was so that by the time Ricky picked up the gun, lifted his head and shot, he wouldn’t be able to tell exactly where Carter was, so there’s a chance he would miss, which is exactly what happened Since he was already holding the rug, it was all he had time to do before he knew Ricky would try to shoot him, so he created what is essentially a makeshift smoke screen You can see the bullet go through the carpet just under Carter’s right armpit, missing him As for Isabella, seems while you were trying to do the hair thing, you completely missed the scene where she meets Lee at the elevator after getting shot, which shows she got shot in the arm, not her butt Also it’s not clear if Carter used more fake money to gamble, but the money he won at the end that he gave to Lee was real, since it was from Caesar’s Palace

According to the director, Chris used a double but Jackie, who is game for anything and after telling Ratner he'd only do ONE take, actually ran down the freeway naked as a jaybird. As he was running down the off ramp, a fan drove up next to him and asked a completely naked Jackie, "Can I have your autograph", which he promptly provided...OMG...LOL...

When Jackie made the transfer from Hong Kong movies to US, he was kinda frustrated that they didn't let him do Neearly as dangerous stunts as are in the Hong Kong movies. Because of insurance reasons and all that. Other is that some cuts with some movies he was also frustrated because it's multiple angles and a lot of edits, so it kinda seems like.. well a basic action movie or like some camera trickery would have been done with the stunt. Some of the stunts in the Hong Kong ones are absoluute madness 😅 He almost did die once for cracking his skull open. Then there was some where there really is no other choice than to make the stunt 😅 Like in Police Story (2) when he jumps from the roof of an apartment building to the ladders that hang from a helicopter and if he misses, underneith is a busy highway that they could not close down 😅 Also he liked when the camera is pretty much still and the series of actions/stunts is shown in one continuous shot. There was also muchmuch more patience to capture some really hard shots with more so called miniscule stunts. Flipping around some whatever item really in some very hard certain way and repeating it until everything goes in perfect sync.
