My car having a dynaudio amp those settings showed differently. Boot default volume was 5 and amp volume was 0 db. I read that rns510 raw output is 26 db and it's coded down to -14 db if you have a dynaudio amp system. So in my case I had to lowered it to -12 db because the HU doesn't have -14 db, from -12 db jumps to -15 db.

I have the rdc310 in my golf, is the sound quality better with these? I was originally going for pioneer as a head unit, now i like this one...but i keep hearing different opinions on sound quality on chinese android/carplay headunits!

I think the sound quality is better than my old rcd310 DAB....yes you have to do a little fine tuning on the built in EQ to get it to the sound your want. Sound quality on cheaper none branded units is rubbish....but the Eonon units have a better EQ. Yeah thats cool, I will look into buying one in the near future. I've got a mk6 sportline estate, but a lower end sound system. I've literally just come from a jag xf with a Bowers and wilkins system in it, so this sucks in comparison, but I like the car. Eventually I'll replace the speakers and get a amp etc as well I think

I’m loving the headunit, however when I have my music playing and have google maps on. It doesn’t give me notifications when to turn or how many yards until the turn, it’ll just make the music quiet for abit then go back to normal. Any ideas on why this is?

Nice video Dave, Intro and outro is very good 👍🏻 We just orderd and placed the newest version the VWA12S 6G It came with a reverse camera but i orderd already one thats fits in plate licht Can i place that camera on the front ? On the instructions it can run max 10 min but the front camera as e start power so its power up if the car is running. If we turn on the unit just on volume 1 its very claer from factory, i have to check the number its on . I do also have the boot logo to volkswagen das auto, easy to do. Hello Dave, thank you for all the help you done here with all videos. I just bought a unit from eonon the vwa12s-6 and everything went great with installation. But I can’t connect the back camera. I try to take signal from the back 12 v lighter and nothing. Any solutions on that part? I am desperate. They have send me also a rele for the back camera which I haven’t try yet. Do you think that maybe it will help. I am not even sure if I have made any damage on the back camera me because I try many times to change the cables from ground to + many times. @@whatsdavedone104 it’s a camera from eonon. So I suppose is aftermarket. I tried exactly like that video and it doesn’t work. And the cables on the unit are right. The rca on the rca which is a tape camera backup on it and the red cable on 12 + for back camera. And to the back I tryed like you from the lighter with no results. My mic is at the top of A piller, by the window. If you go to settings, Car, then into factory setting 126. Tap other in top right corner, go to bottom of list you can change between internal and external mic. Under voice you can adjust the mic volume

wonder if you can help. installed the vwa12s in a 2012 passat tdi sel with fender audio and im having issues getting sound through the radio and narrowed down to a can communication error. i tried to go into factory settings and adjust can and amplifier options but no luck... it will randomly pick up sound if i key cycle for about 2 sec then cut back out.

The VWA12 and VWA12S are the same size, yes the VWA12S will fit a Jetta 2011

@michealjordan508 yes it will apply to the VWA12 ....but I don't no where you will find the setting as the VWA12 is set up differently to VWA12S. I might see if Eonon will send me a VWA12 as I am getting lots of questions I can answer because of the different set up 🙈

It's a feature in the sound settings, you can turn it off or set set it to different levels

How do you equalize volume between different apps? So my android auto and Bluetooth app, when I play music thru either, sound is good. But if I try to play KZbin through android auto or Bluetooth, sound is way lower and have to turn it way up to hear it, but then if I switch back to my music app, it about blows my speakers out if I forget to turn it back down. Any ideas

Sound quality is better than factory, and you have adjustment using the DSP so you can adjust it to your liking.

@Felix-tp8ch the 4g antennas are only required if you are using a sim card rather than mobile hot-spot....where did I place mine? In the bin 🤣 My GPS antenna is stuck on top of the head unit and plugged in, but I don't use navigation on the unit as I use android auto for navigation

I got this head unit, installed it everything seemed to work ok except when turning off the car the head unit stays on. I tried looking online etc. trying to fix the problem seeing that wires need to be cut from a can bus or settings in the unit. not sure what i should do. Do you know a fix for this issue? Thanks

What car have you installed it in? Not heard of anybody having this issue before, upon install🤔 I did have an issue once with radio remaining on but that was due to sticking micro switch in the ignition barrel.

@@whatsdavedone104 The car is a 2012 Volkswagen GTI. I traced all the wiring did some research and found out the power from the car doesnt have ACC (Some cars dont have it I suppose) only constant 12V so on the harness coming from the car I cut the 12V wire that lines up with the Eonon power wire and ran a wire from cigarette lighter into the wire I cut cigarette lighter turns on and off with key switch. Im not used to these head units CarPlay pops up saying to connect to bluetooth when im trying to do something else and when im connected to bluetooth carPlay acts like its not connected but everything seems to work ok

@@lionintu yes in my car I dont have an ACC wire so I had to cut a wire off of cars plug, leave a few inches of wire to splice into off of cigarette lighter. I think guys are running a wire out of the fuse box as well but the cig lighter seemed less complicated lol

@Drummer0071 turn off the Bluetooth on your phone, open carplay app on screen and tap the settings cog....turn off carplay auto connection. Once that is off you control when car play opens rather than auto connecting 👍

Hi Dave, hope you can help. I have an Eonon Q53Pro installed in my VW Jetta. Recently I added a front camera to the VW emblem (similar to your camera). This is connected to a Video Input cable and runs via the Eonon pre-installed “AUX” widget. I also have recently installed a VW factory backup camera (running through a VW back up cam control module) and I have also upgraded my parking sensors to the optical type (OPS) rather than the older beep sound only sensors. I have also added front parking sensors (so my car is now has 8K OPS). This is similar to your setup. The reverse camera and all 8 sensors work well via the Q53Pro. When in reverses the parking sensor graphics is discrete and is seamlessly overlayed over the rear view camera image. While in reverse the music sound levels are automatically reduced and I am also advised (while in reverse) if there are any obstructions are in front of the car via the same sensor graphics. This is all good and nicely integrated. However the front camera and parking sensor integration is a big disappointment. Switching from reverse to D swaps the image to the front camera. Almost half the screen is covered by a different looking parking sensor display. This display is on its side and has a large black background. Instead of the music sound levels being reduced, it is abruptly cut off mid song. I suspect this is due to the video input using the AUX. I notice the new VWA12S Eonon head unit has a dedicated Front Camera video input. Does this provide a more integrated experience?? I video on how your front camera / sensors / rear camera integrates would be fantastic to see.

Hi Dave, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately your suggested method of removing the large parking aid display from the front camera view goes too far. It also disables the VW OEM parking aid display from the rear view. So now there is now park aid display at any time entirely. 😢

Yes and No. NO because it's not going to give you extra power, it just gives you the volume level the radiois going to start at boot.
