Why movement is so important in Old World is because of the Square bases, with definable fronts, sides and rears things like flanking and hammer and anviling enemy units is really important

Re: Hot elves, the elves in Divinity Original Sin 2 are insanely tall and lanky and willowy, and they’re sort of aesthetic but also really creepy and scary. Also they eat people and turn into trees when they’re old.

That is the best form of elves, elegant, mysterious, and inhuman, humans should be the middle point between the wrathful, emotion driven dwarves and the detached, cold elves. Dwarves are all driven by inner fire, and elves are detached and calm, but humans are the full spectrum of feeling, and that is why despite living shorter lives with weaker magic and subpar materials, humans always dominate and create empires that outshine any other race's kingdoms

Eldar are space elves and that's what elves are - idealized, paragon humans. I think the Eldar should come out with more Aspect Warrior types and really lean into that aspect of their army. Imagine if, like the Space Marines, Eldar were getting new stuff all the time in the form of new Aspects and/or variants of Exarchs and such. I wish we could be as tired of Eldar as we are of Space Marine Leiutenants

@@wrah5480 my point isn't so much that I want every race to have that much (sort of do) but more that I would like to see more races on equal footing with SM. Everything in a miniatures range exists the way it does because of creative choices andn ot because "that is how they are" and when I see comments about armies being limited or boring, or not fitting in the setting (original squats) I can't help but raise a big 'ol eyebrow and think, "So, fix it. All this stuff is made up. Make it better".

First GW needs to rework all the cool models the Eldar have to modern standarts, then they can finally make an Exodite Codex and models if they have still fuel in the tank.

I imagine the human looking elven Eldar aren't actually how they look, but an in-universe misrepresentation in order to sort of censor the actual appearance of Eldar. Factually, Eldar are directly reptiles, unlike humans who are only reptiles insofar as we're synapsids, a group of reptiles to which mammals belong, but Eldar are literally lizard people, shaped into the patented humanoid form the Old Ones seemingly invented (Or possibly ripped off of the Necrontyr so they could make thrall beings that were able to directly combat the Necrontyr.) which is unsettling to consider, and I picture it manifesting physically as a grotesquely uncanny appearance and way of moving, translucent pale skin, massive black almond eyes, thin lips, and a hideous semi-elongated skull.

Its great that the GW sales department.. I mean... balance department rebalanced things that have sold.... ehm I mean performed well... so that other things left on the shelves sell... I mean get their chance to play on tables. All of my codices for 20-40$+ each feels really good about GW marketing strategy. My wraithknights and all my 5 fliers also feels great about GW sales department. Thanks guys! We gamers feels really appreciated when all of the invested resources are purposefully shelved, made illegal and nerfed to the ground.

Eons, you think you could convert a Tempestus Scions Tempestor Pime, using a spare Commissar Head, into a Commissar? Like say a Ciaphas Cain in some heavy duty armor? Creating that team from the book that Ciaphas Cain met Veil, where they teamed up with those Tau & Kroot. Would make a nice Strike Team, right? Unless, you can figure out a way better variant, that is. And how would you go about creating Veil? Please, show us, how you think it would look, because I think you might be able to nail it.

Im really curious to see just how much GW will update the Eldar and just how much will be removed from the range as it inevitably will. The FW range is pretty much gone outside of a few things. If its anything like their previous refresh in 9th edition, I assume we will see at least the same amount of new kits if not more based on the rumors. Definitely will see the end of the resin aspect warrior kits as those are the last of the failcast Eldar. Also curious if theyll finally bring over that Blackstone Fortress Eldar model as a generic HQ, same as GW has done with other models in that game.

I mean, the Templar nerf wasn’t that bad. It did fuck crusader squads but slightly buffed marshals and castellans. The only real injustice I see is Grimaldus, he should’ve been buffed or kept the same points wise.

Blasphemy. Elves are just Hot Orlando Bloom... That's the point. In most fantasies, Elves and similar creatures are meant to be perfect. They are meant to be fair, with perfect metabolisms keeping them thin and sober, with perfect agility allowing them to gracefully traverse terrain such as trees and they have the wisdom to keep them arrogant and snobbish towards others. You may not like them, but that is their gimmick. Dwarves are grizzled fighters, Elves are more like diplomats with the wisdom to chose peace but the ability to fight when needed. The Star Trek equivalent is the Vulcans who are essentially space elves, and they show the same signs of intelligence, dignity, snobbishness and a desire to try peace first. And that's why Eldar look so pretty or hot or whatever you said. They are meant to be a race that is very old but looking young, very wise and very nimble but plagued with a nasty arrogance, not necessarily being the best fighters and to be quite hostile towards others. That's kind of just what elves/ eldar are and to many, thats an appealing trait for their army. I know I have a large elf army in MESBG and a small Eldar army for 40k because I like the elves. But I do also get your like for Dwarves as I do also have a large Dwarf army for MESBG and a small League of Votaan army for 40k. They contrast each other well and I like that. And that's why Eldar need to be a bit more perfect pretty boy.
