Fun fact: you can swarm your opponent with 132 grots in an 1000p battle, gretchin can come in either squads of 11 for 40pts or 22 for 80pts and with the dread mob detachment gretchin get the battleline keyword meaning you can have 6 squads of 22 gretchin for 480 points

Shotguns should have a special rule where they're 1 shot at full range, d3 shots at half distance, but d6 shots in overwatch. Make them terrible to shoot generally but horrible to charge against.

I think you should be leaning into the backwards facing markers. I've often had my armys in GW games face away from my opponent, mostly as it helps some of the fiddly bits (Like those lumineth spears!) from getting tied up and into other models. So I'm slowly collecting infinity, and I've been thinking about doing that; leaning into it. Make all my models backward on the facing markers "they cant be hurt by what they cant see"

Just getting into Infinity as a game myself (loads of minis already). I have Sandtrap and the N5 Lore book but I am looking forward to the Essentials series - basically a guided/escalation series of boxes the first of which is due before the end of the year. Looks like a great starting point at a very low price (40-50 Euros is quoted so whatever that will be in £/$) for 6 minis, terrain etc and qick start rules.

I thought GW just shipped a bunch of single-model mini-sprues. If they really make the store employees manually clip the models off a regular sprue, that would explain why my Legions Imperialis Rhino was missing an exhaust pipe! Then again, the pieces were so small it's possible I just dropped it and it's lost forever.

I went to a local store (different area) this past weekend, and while I was checking out with my magazine, the customer behind me asked if the free minis were in - and the manager pulled out a couple. They were in individual mini-boxes (solo sprues) - pretty professional.

I think painting the facing markers back onto the base would be much less hassle than trying to sculpt them. I remember back in Ye Olde Tymes of Warmachine I would see players that painted half of each base rim to denote the model's facing.

Sandtrap is for Veteran Players, there are NO Rules inside the Box. For New Players there is the Essentials Box.

I’m sorry but the True Red Gobbo is the leader of the Gretchen revolution so it’s unlikely that he will be helping the big boys. The original RG was an amazing model from GorkaMorka. This character is the equivalent of the red hood from Batman. Whoever wears the coat of the RG is the RG and he deserves to be in necromunda with tons of snotlings a Gretchen. Would be so fun. Works because of the necromunda history of a hive Imperial Fists have a temple and recruit from necromunda. There is a decimated hive now only know as the skull destroyed by space marines during a Ork invasion. But we know Orks grow from spores and never really gone. Hunting Orks might be a pastime but gobbos would hidden and be sneaky low cunning gits. That’s a fun thing

while it doesn't have to be an IHOP but to counter the dead ridden Trope of "Ancient Alien Super Tech", why not having some "alternative Tech" that isn't inherently better or even "wastly" more advanced but like ... what a Wankel Engine is to a Normal 4-Stroke Combustion Engine where there isn't a cylinder that goes up and down with injection, compression, work and exhaustion it has a Delta shaped disc, so does the same but in a different way and with downsides so ist would be way more interesting than some "ancient supertech" again

The Red gobbo is a fan-made Soviet Russia Communist grot / goblin made by a guy named Adam in 2016, later adopted by GW to show thier political leanings. The Gobbo starts a revolution and kills all the Orks of it's tribe. There are plenty of lore videos about it if you want to know more.
