I’ve been watching tutorials about this game since before youtube and I promise this is the absolute best series I’ve ever found.

I have like 200 hrs in the game through a couple of years, but never really understood a lot of mechanics, or just didnt know about them. I knew how the market works and such things, but never went so deep in the gameplay, and not because I didnt want to, but because i never got the chance. Once I went gatecamping with my corps small group fleet, but didnt understand much, just followed instructions. HOWEVER I found your series and it just kills 😍 helped a lot since Ep.0, waiting for trying everything out IG, and also shared your vids with my even more beginner friend to help him. Keep up the good work, you’re awesome! 💪

Great series! Instead of leaving the whole personal folders window open, double click your bookmarks folder under locations. A new, smaller window (just bookmarks) opens that is easier to fit on a crowded screen. You can also auto sort your bookmarks by using a naming convention, e.g., "[system name] - [descriptive name]" such as Couster - Algogille Stargate safespot. This alphabetically stacks all the bookmarks for a system together.

I was thinking it might be cool to have a monitor just for overview and bookmarks

nice vid...just a quick question.. can he not warp to you when ur sitting 3K away from him? I under the impression that you can warp to objects outside 150 km range on your overview.
@NewbEden3 жыл бұрын
Objects yes but not ships. You can only warp to a ship if it is in your fleet or you scan it down with combat probes.

That trick to se if they cloak was very useful i did not know u could look at a ship that distance away. This way of having an escape route set up becomes mutch more needed as u move out of the Venture and into the next class of mining ships as they are far less maneuverable then that of the Venture and mutch more expensive.

What is the difference between the safe1 bookmark and the long bookmark, it seems they have the same purpose? What would be the ideal range for the long bookmark in km? In this case when long and short bookmarks have been set, we can delete the safe1 bookmark I guess? Thanks for the guide all is created very good, great to watch!

you'll maybe want to have multiple safe spots to go to, but depends on playstyle

You are such a magnificent mentor for me , thank you so much ! Just one question : This venture fit can be used by Alpha ? If so link the fit and the skills please , so I can set foot in low/null and start mining . Once a gain thank you for being such a great mentor !

How do you get your highlighted items to appear green. Mine are medium grey and not very distinctive. They just don't catch my eye.

I was afraid of going lowsec as a new player because before this mini serie. I was completely blind about what's going on in the system. You helped a lot, i feel like i can start enjoying the game (even i feel like i'm still gonna die sometimes, part of the game i think) I have a question tho, why use long instead of safe bookmarks?

Just started the the game and have been data and relic searching but was wondering if i should switch to mining to learn more skills and get money. Also wondering when is a good time to start heading into low sec. Do I go when I feel comfortable enough with the controls or when I have the right equipment? Lastly, when should I start looking into getting the next tier of ship after the starting ones? Been watching your videos after starting just last week in the game and wanted to give thanks for the help :)

Heya. Some of your (very good) questions don't have clear answers but I'll give you my thoughts on each. - Exploration vs mining? I would say try a bit of both and see what you enjoy then stick with that. Personally, I prefer exploring and I feel that you can make more isk than mining as a new player. The techniques shown in this series are transferable to whatever you're doing. - Heading to LowSec? As soon as you feel comfortable with the techniques we've discussed over this series then I'd say go for it. Be prepared to get killed and try to fly cheap for a while until you get the hang of things. Awareness and piloting skills is more important than the right equipment nearly every time. - Next tier of ships? The two limiting factors are skills trained and available isk. There's a big difference between being able to "fly" a ship and being able to "use" a ship. That's probably gonna be the next video actually!

You could also warp to another belt and resume mining right away.
