I have to say this presenter is excellent. His pacing and explanations are the best I have seen. He stays on topic and fully explains the process to include keystrokes. Fantastic job!

I love scanning down for explo. Even if it’s just to die the fun of going to wormhole space is what I do this for. You just showed me stuff I didn’t know. Thanks

Ahoy Newb/ I wish to add info regarding your observation when one gets the 'double ended' scanning result (that it is almost always the furthest 'end' that is the sig). This mechanism also applies to the 'Circle' and spherical results, relative to your last scan location: With the circle result, the sig will be in the area on the farther side of the circle Same goes with a spherical result, relative to your last scan. All this is to say that one needn't scan from the center of those new results, but can bias the new scan toward the far side (which is similar to what is happening with the double ended result). It might save you an extra re-scan:) An excellent vid!

Your vids helped me immensely, pretty much like going to class. After finishing this video I jumped into a magnate and went exploring and finally found a wormhole, got in it and guess what? forgot to save the location LOL...2 hours later after countless scanning and searching, hacking, etc I managed to appear in a 0.3 location 7 jumps from Jita, got there and sold all the exploration stuff for almost 30 mil! def worth it for heart attack and funs haha

I started playing a few months ago, After some trial and error I learned about anomalies and started doing them, then learned about combat sites and started doing those instead. Now that I have gotten a far better ship and way more experience I make some 50-100 mil/h with it, in high sec. So if you're new and don't want to venture out into scary space you can make good money in high sec, don't believe people when they tell you that you can't.

“After some trial and error....” I love this. It epitomizes the EVE spirit of learning by doing!!

I really enjoy this series, started playing past week. This might already been said in the comments of another video, but if you carry a spare set of 8 scanner probes in your ship inventory it automatically reloads the scanner probes. I've also noticed during my exploration time that instead of double clicking on the cosmic signature in the probe scanner window, you can also single click the signature on the map to centre the map. I didn't know about the double clicking to change the view (top down/side ways). I used the two buttons on the bottom right of the map thus far. I also didn't know you could setup shortcuts for increasing and decreasing the scanner probe size. Great tips.
@NewbEden3 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks, great added info. I should have mentioned the clicking on the actual signature to centre, but in an upcoming episode we’ll go scanning in dangerous space and I’ll be recommending that you keep your D-scan set to full-size which makes the solar system map UI look really cluttered and busy. Using the probe scan window to double-click the signature you’re working on becomes critical because of the difficulty finding the signature each time if you’re using the map.

im new to the game, watching a lot of videos to learn about the game as theres bit of a learning curve in this game, watching quit a few content creators, i think Newb has by far the best guides, better than a lot bigger channels out there. Looking forward to seeing more vides from you.

Well… I didn’t understand why I had 0% whereas I was on the very top of the anomaly ! You solved my issue. Really helpful video, I needed an extremely detailed one to understand what the hell I was doing wrong. Scanning is important in WH. Also I didn’t know double-click trick, this one saves me a lot of time ! 🕺🥳

So i dont understand, i scan the signal until i have the smallest probe size selected, the strength is at 57 percent, i can't go any smaller, so i dont understand what to do now. Continuing to scan ust weakens the signal more

Again, very useful information, but wondering why you double click twice on the solar view. If you move the scanner control to the new location (be that in either elevation or plan view) you only need to double click once in the solar view to centre your scan, saving you one double click step.
@NewbEden3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I experimented with the method you suggested but to be honest, I found the split second of trying to process whether I was in plan or elevation kind of annoying. The muscle memory of one extra double click meant every time was the same which I felt more comfortable with. Maybe I’d think different if I tried it for longer. Great tip though, thanks!
@Sorarse3 жыл бұрын
@@NewbEden I did wonder if it was because it was what you were used to. Personally I don't even think of the view as plan or elevation, so it makes no difference.

I'm just getting into the game, bought the Gold beta pack and started playing, up until air aura gave me the wheel, MAN! the training deal sucks in the game! wish aura would help out all thru the game, so I wouldn't have to shut the game down and search KZbin every 20min to learn how to play, what a headache, thank god for all you youtubers making vids, KZbin like going to school, you can learn about anything, lucky there more than one teacher 'vid' in case you don't understand one you can skip to another, or like me I'm all visual, I hate reading, and eve all about reading, ''gosh'' and wish i could activate the read aloud feature that i think its a browser thing, anyhow im just ventin thanks for the vid ,- peace
