Thanks for the video! I like how clear and concise your content is. I'm still catching up on your videos over time, but I do have some recommendations for the engine bay that I plan on doing in the future, maybe you'll be interested in some. I'll warn you that some of them are on the excessive side, but would still be cool. I was thinking of relatively simple hacks you can do to improve various aspects of the car. I was going to pick up the Z1 silicone intake hoses, then wrap them in a high temperature gold radiant heat reflective tape. I was thinking of doing the exterior of the air boxes as well with the same gold tape. The interior of the stock air boxes I was thinking of using adhesive heat insulation foam tiles to help with conductive heat transfer through the plastic. They sell aluminized heat protection sleeving for pretty cheap, which I think would be great to cover fuel lines, the lower radiator hose, transmission and A/C lines, anything could benefit really. I'm also thinking of removing the intake plenum, to fully wrap it in a heat insulating foam with reflective tape. I would also put in some throttle body spacers, with the idea that it would increase the velocity of the air behind the throttle body during the vacuum of each intake stroke since it has more distance to travel. This should help promote atomization of the fuel as the air slams into droplets from each fuel injector pulse. With the intake plenum off, ya might as well heat shield the lower intake manifold, the fuel rails, and remaining fuel line. Since those heads give off a ton of heat, and the front timing chain cover prevents any airflow of reaching the valley between both heads, the heat builds up into a soaking pool around all components that are more efficient when cool. There's a Q50 carbon fiber hood that has the molds for both an intake cowl and exhaust vents. The intake cowl looks to be the perfect height to create an air duct to shoot over the timing chain cover, yet into the valley between the heads where the intake manifold, fuel rails, and intake plenum are exposed. The air would then travel towards the back of the engine and be diverted upwards towards the center of the windshield (which some modifications would probably be done to the create an exhaust pathway. Rain would be pretty cool, because if done right, you could have the water run through the channel and cool the exterior surface of the heads, while not splashing on any other component outside of that this created duct system. I'm curious to see if it's possible to make a smooth enough duct where it doesn't slam or buffet, I'd imagine you could optimize for a little bit of down-force with minimal drag. You could cut out the exhaust vents on the hood to help air escape that passes through the radiator which would help cool all the components in your engine bay, such as the full engine, the brake fluid reservoir, transmission. Perhaps additional intake ducts could be made with the fog light bezels to help carry air a z1 skid plate to aid in cooling the bottom end of the drive train. Hell, while we're under there, how about create an array of heat sinks bonded to the bottom of the oil pan, so there's increased surface area to dissipate heat while being aided by the additional air flow. Canards can be placed on the inside of the skid plate to help prevent wind buffeting. This leads into the next modification which is a transmission cooler in the mix. Keeping that thing cool and happy is always a good thing. I figure putting an additional layer of undercoating on would help insulate the heat radiating off the asphalt or concrete as well as provide additional sound deadening from road noise. Even crazier, take nearly all the cabin interior parts out and place a layer of sound deadening (like Dynamat) followed by a layer of heat insulating foam adhesive to decrease the transmission of exterior noise with kind of a thermos effect. I already did ceramic tint all the way around and it really helped out here in Arizona. I guess since we're doing the entire cabin, including the doors and ceiling, we might as well upgrade all the speakers as well as an amplifier to drive them. The thing should sound amazing after all of that and have a new level of quietness from within the cabin. Crazy long comment, I know, but It's deserved as you put an incredible amount of finesse into your content and I want you know that It's appreciated, entertaining, and informational.
