Ep 10: Chiang Mai 🇹🇭 Elephant Sanctuary, Tha Phae Gate & the Saturday Market!

Hello! My name is Melissa and I'm from Scotland. After living in South Korea for two years, I'm backpacking around Southeast Asia and filming my adventures! ✨
In this episode, I tick off a bucket list item - an Elephant Sanctuary! Come along as we meet, feed, and bathe some rescued elephants - all retired from being used for logging. After our elephant trip, we explore Tha Phae Gate and the Saturday market. I hope you enjoy watching! 🙃
Note: If you're interested in visiting an elephant sanctuary while in Thailand, please do your research! While I'm not sure if the sanctuary we went to was 100% ethical, I ensured they did not offer elephant riding or use bullhooks on the animals. My only negative was how many group tours this sanctuary hosted at one time, so I would not recommend it. There are many unethical elephant tours, so please be careful and research!
