Great job Capt.Joe I’ve been following, your ride is going to be sick ! When you glassed the splash basin it folded over & wrapped around (2radiuses) was wondering how?did you have to cut relief slits to wrap corner? Again thank you for sharing your knowledge keep up the great work 👍👍

Thanks! Sometimes we will cut relief slits in the glass, but on that particular area I cut pieces to exact length with a bevel or angle cut on the outside corner. Then I finished in mat to help blend the edges and transitions. I have be trying to show as many different techniques as I can, but sometimes it's challenging to film and get the work done efficiently. I will try to show how I did that glass work on a upcoming video. Hope that answers your question. Really appreciate you watching!

Thanks for all this information! When you apply resin or glass to the underside, do you add wax? It should be usefull to know when you add wax or not. The putty I think is always with wax I imagine?

It is not clear why you grind between coats if the the resin has no wax and it's a laminating resin. Please explain the reason. Thanks for your great videos!

Thanks! I would imagine you could, but it may not need it. There are so many variables in the boat world. It is hard for me to say. Wish I had a Simple answer for that one. Appreciate you watching!

Welcome to the channel! Yes, we are building the boat to commercial duty standards, so she should be extra tough for sure. I have used Divinycell H80 on other projects before with good success. On this boat I think the higher density and workability of the Coosa was a better fit overall. Hope that answers your question, appreciate you watching!

Polyester ortho or iso laminating resin or sometimes a ortho dcpd blend are probably the most common types of resins around most boatyard. Hope this helps and thanks for Watching
