Even the ending is perfect ! The drive through the old square gate really does remind me of some of the films I’ve watched about the us , really enjoyed the overview with the drone footage of the ranch and the animal tour and as usual learned a lot too , harvesthosts must be a great concept thanks Marc lovely experience

Another great Grand Adventure video Marc. As HH members, we use HH pretty exclusively when traveling to a destination and have been greatly impressed by the hospitality and ease of reservations. We love the program and thank you for highlighting a new HH for us to explore in the West. Thank you Starry Hollow for the work you do rescuing animals.

A Harvest Hosts membership is the only way. We wish that we had the chance to use ours more this past season, but it leads to some truly unique experiences like this one.

Another interesting and informative video Marc. The GMC Motorhomes are eye catchers. I hope that one gets restored and back on the road. Quite a few KZbinrs have been doing Havest Host stays recently. Most are affiliates. I can see it being useful for folks who do short stays and move around a lot. I can see it providing nice places to stay in the more urban areas, especially on the east coast.
@GrandAdventure5 жыл бұрын
Yes Bruce, with a usual 1-night stay limit HH seems best suited to traveling stays as an alternative to Wally docking, etc. As for ourselves, we opted to not participate in their affiliate program and simply use the membership for what it's intended for.
@bruceh37865 жыл бұрын
I figured you were not affiliated since there was no link. It make since for you now that you are doing shorter trips. I will be interested to see how it works out. The membership price increase ruled it out for me to experiment. I think I would join if I were touring back east. There is an Airstream KZbin channel that has been using it quite a bit this spring and summer as they tour east of the Mississippi. It has worked well for them. It looks like what you are really buying is their reservation system and known places to park. I can see that being worth it if can get enough use out of it.

Think this a fantastic idea. We have some very small sites only 5 units and usually very reasonable some with hook up and some without. Loved this film thank you for taking the time to film. P&J

We absolutely loved our stay at Starry Hollow Ranch. Because we work from the trailer, we can only move on weekends. for that reason we haven't gotten as much use out of Harvest Hosts as we would have liked, as almost all locations limit your state of one night. Others who have different travel patterns would get more benefit from it than we did.

Looks like Starry Hollow no longer a host, can’t pull them up anymore

I heard about Harvest Host camping but never knew what it was about. Thank you for making a video and sharing your first time experience at a pretty cool place with a nice couple. On a side note....when you were interviewing them, were you standing up? It looked like they had to look up to talk to you. I wonder if it might have been a more relaxed feeling if you were sitting near the camera. Just a thought. Thank you Marc!
