Part 1 of 2. Join us as we take a leisurly walk around the historical French Town of Aubusson. Aubusson is well known for tapestry and carpets, which have been famous throughout the world since the 14th century. The style of the tapestries produced has changed through the centuries, from scenes of green landscapes through to hunting scenes. In the 17th Century, the Aubusson and Felletin workshops were given "Royal Appointment" status.

Roy (Orbison)😉 was born in Vernon, TX... where I attend "Summer's Last Blast" , the greatest classic car cruise, car show and drag race through downtown streets after midnight in August of every year. The "Blast" is named for the late summer temperatures in Vernon TX, which are almost always over 105°F. 🥵 Not for sissies...

Enjoyed the wonder around the back streets it all looks so old. I always wonder where all the people are in small towns and villages as have visited France many times and always noted how empty it felt except at noon and 2pm when it is their traditional lunch break and everybody heads home. Thank you for the tour. I love this. It's like being there looking and so many wonderful buildings. It is a bit sad when buildings are left to ruin. I am so accustomed to the hustle and bustle where I live. Cars all over with people at stores, noise... when you are visiting, where are the town's inhabitants? I did see a car or two and conversation with the gentleman, but while I am watching the deserted streets, where is everyone? Anna, love when you wear your hair down. You are so pretty . I do enjoy it when you stop for a bite and show what you ordered for your meals. I often wonder about the families who owned China and the beautiful furniture and chandeliers. Love the tour of this city. The history and architecture of the buildings is so interesting! Thanks for the tour. By the way, if you both like old cinema's, have you seen the movie "Cinema Paradiso"? It is wonderful. Set in Italy a few years after WWll, about a young boy working with an old projectionist in a cinema. Beautiful music and plot.
