The time after #Jamaury is always a time of regeneration, of introspection, of reorientation.
During this time, I've always thought a bit about where we want to go as a community, what we still want to try out, what the goal is.
However, each time I came to the realization that there was no point in planning and that I would rather let things happen to me. And every time the community got a little bigger, every time I tried new things when I felt like it and every time I met new people who love music, who like to exchange ideas with others and who ultimately stayed here and now are an integral part of the community.
For me, that is the magic of this KZbin channel. This is simply unique. Thanks for that.
After a few days break, I'm now really excited to start making music again. And especially with my new additions, the JT-4000 and the Pro-VS Mini.
Well, what could be better than a Groovbox that brings all my devices together. Of course, I already have the Novation Circuit, I have two Zoom ARQs and I have the wonderful Keystep Pro from ARTURIA. However, all of these devices cannot do what the EP-133 KO II can do.
In today's video I'm going to start showing you what you can actually use the EP-133 for, besides all the jams you've already seen on KZbin. I think very few people end up using the device as a standalone. Why should it when it can do so much more?
The magic word is simple: MIDI
So today I took the Volca Bass, Volca Keys and the NTS-1 and connected it to the EP-133 for you. Today I limited myself to 3 devices, although you can of course connect up to 16 devices. So far only the ARQ AR-96 can do this.
That's why I'll probably first show a comparison video between the ARQ and the EP-133, since these devices are most similar. Oh yes, that's true. I actually miss the arpeggiator on the EP-133.
Anyway, a first jam with the EP-133. Nothing special, just to show what you can do. Of course, I'm not even scratching the surface. Imagine the possibilities with 5, 6 or 7 MIDI devices. Until then, I just need to figure out how to set the track length differently for each group. I'm actually afraid that it won't work. But of course you could use different patterns for different instruments in the C group..... oh that sounds like fun.
As always the Specular Reverb v3 spices everything.
Thank you for your interest in my music and the EP-133.
If I have any requests or would like to know something specific about the EP-133, just ask me.
See you in the comments.
Greetings

Most of the Time I am using the Specular Reverb v3 for my jams.
Sometimes the NTS-1 with the Cathedral Preset or just the iPad.
