EP 137 Thin Lizzy - Are You Ready?
"Are You Ready?" is a song written by Brian Downey, Scott Gorham, Philip Lynott and Brian Robertson of Thin Lizzy. It first appeared on the 1978 live album "Live and Dangerous". The album reached Number 2 in the UK albums chart.
It goes without saying that Phil Lynott (1949-1986) was the bass player on the track. Definitely one of my biggest influences as a bassist!

The version I have used is a demo that was recorded later in 1978 after Brian Robertson was fired and Gary Moore joined. The live version of the song is played with the instruments tuned down a semitone but this version is at concert pitch. If you want to play along to the "Live and Dangerous" version, just make sure that you're tuned a semitone lower (Eb / Ab / Db / Gb)

I processed the bass track with some very slight distortion from Reason's Scream 4 rack extension to beef up the tone and then some chorus from the Quartet rack extension to widen it slightly.
