Loving the chocolate chip cookies on their back haha. I'm only kidding. These came out awesome as usual

idriveacharger Hahaha :) I should probably give those a dry brush with a metallic color to make them shiny again. Later... too many other minis to paint!

Great video! I thought about putting bright colour on my minis and let them look dirty at the same time - you nailed it ;)

Thank you!

I love the color that turned out from mixing that gold and silver - will need to try and use this sometime! Those Goblin Archers were the first MD painting I did, before my YT channel and now that I have bird skulls from Citadel's Skull box I wish I hadn't done them yet, it'd be perfect for their base!
@HeroesBosses6 жыл бұрын
I use that silver/gold mix a lot - mostly as a highlight color for gold armor - or anything gold/bronze really. Mix stormhost or shining silver into any of your metallics and you get some neat colors :)

Whelp, definitely going to be experimenting with this! I've never been one mix colors. These sorts of artsy stuff I never tend to do :P
@HeroesBosses6 жыл бұрын
Well you don't really need to mix paints if you have the right colors. Have you seen this before? www.games-workshop.com/resources/PDF/Downloads/CitadelPaintingSystem.pdf

I think other paint companies might have made similar things, and there are paint "conversion" charts out there that let you sub in colors from other paint companies, but this is a pretty useful guide.

Nice! I really need to download that app

Awesome, and this without highlighting 😱
@HeroesBosses6 жыл бұрын
No highlights, and no pre-shading - I just wanted them done as quick as possible :) Obviously I'll be doing proper highlights, etc on the heroes/survivors and main bosses.
@TheKingofAverage6 жыл бұрын
Honestly I wish I could do this. Perhaps I'll force myself to someday. For MD especially, these guys are on the board for at most 2 turns anyway :)

Very good job. Would you do the orcs from Massive Darkness?
@HeroesBosses4 жыл бұрын
Once the kickstarter begins for Massive Darkness 2 this year I'll probably do a lot more from MD1 :) Including the orcs!

Hi! I love the painting, great work! I just recently got into painting miniatures and collect minis mostly for use in D&D. The sculpts on these looks great, and I actually recently got the Massive Darkness Reptisaurians to fill in for Dragonborn (apparently there is such high demand that they're hard to get!!). My concern about these goblins is that they seem quite large--pretty much the size of a human. Is that accurate?
@HeroesBosses6 жыл бұрын
Samuel Khasin Yes they are - the archers are a bit shorter than a human - the ones with swords are the same size as most of the humans.
@HeroesBosses6 жыл бұрын
They certainly aren't "D&D" style goblins in size, just in appearance. That being said, some of the Massive Darkness heroes are enormous - like the size of a half giant from D&D.
@GreenLanternCorps28146 жыл бұрын
Thanks for responding! Well, sounds like they could be Hobgoblins at least.

I like the variations in clothing and armor color. But the skin color? I mean, goblins are green. That's what goblins are. Green. Different *shades* of green, yeah. But still. Green. Because goblins.
