What a special French town in which you have chosen to live. I loved seeing all your vintage purchases but as much as I liked those vases, I wouldn’t want demons in my house. 🤣 Even though the garden is overgrown, there were plenty of beautiful flowers to enjoy. The new stove is exquisite! Those African baskets at the market caught my eye; I must have five of them throughout my home. Enjoy your week! Thanks for sharing. 🎉

No worries. They're not demons, just wild and fantastic animals.

Thanks for watching! The boiler man is coming tomorrow morning, so fingers crossed, I will soon have hot water! 🤞 The international flight itself is only 9.5 hours, but all the time spent waiting to catch each plane and train really adds up!

I am chuckling at the amazing auction prices you are manifesting! Here in central Mexico we are paying more for faked antique rustic tables, and second hand bentwood/leather lattice equipale chairs. Way to go, u guys.🙌🏽✊🏽😳

Yes, the abundance of antique furniture (and relatively low demand for it) makes things surprisingly cheap. It's so different from buying antiques in the U.S, and I guess Mexico too. Thanks for watching!

That’s my favorite butter too. 😋 ….Yes being away all Summer I’m sure left your garden in a state. Maybe if you can’t be there in the future during peak growth season you could pay a local gardener to come in a couple of times to mow, trim, prune, etc. Welcome back to France !

0:35 I've been watching since your first video (I'm an American living in France) and one of the many things I like is that you are making an effort to learn French and incorporating it into your videos. Amboise is such a lovely town. I live in a different part of France but I plan to move to the Loire Valley in the next few years.

Love your stove and your eclectic style! You got a lot of good treasures. The table that opens up (with the roses) is a typical "table de bridge". Used to play a bridge card game. Yours in in the "Louis XV style".

Love your videos! Glad you’re back in France! My husband and I spent a lovely week in a little town outside Amboise called Lemray, so we went into Amboise a lot! I love seeing the city from your perspective! That market is fabulous!

It took you 23 hours to get there? O M G! That would poop anybody out!!! Glad you're feeling more at home, in spite of it sounding like the garbage men are running up your stairs!!!

It takes longer than 23 hours just in flying time from Australia! Mind you we empathise with the tiredness and envy those those can fly in and out for short stays. If flying to France the minimum I would stay would be 4 plus weeks to get over jet lag and make use of the time and money it takes to get there. It becomes a special trip for most Australians.

You know you can get a direct train to Tours - a fast train directly from the CDG airport right? It takes maybe 2.5 hours. From Tours I guess you could rent a car or train to amboise? But 23 hours, oh la la!!! I fly from Houston direct to Paris (8 hours) on Air France and take the train to Poitiers. Where I can either rent a car, Uber or catch a train to Montmorillon.

Yeah, so add up the total time *door to door* - from when you leave your house to go to the airport, to when you arrive at your house in France, including all the time waiting at the airport, between trains, etc. That's why it took 23 hours.

15:28 Don't be discouraged. If you hadn't done the work in June the whole garden would have been weeds 6' high by now.

Don't forget your local taxes are coming up in a few weeks. Taxe foncière is different to d'habitation both are payable on second homes. Don't miss the end dates whatever you do! ;) I know from experience!

I'm not sure what those things are with the clothespins, but it looks like if you hang one over the line, you could feed a clothes hanger through the 2 halves, or maybe one side fits through the other end, since they seem to be 2 different shapes. I wonder if you can do a google image search? Now I'm intrigued! The hall tree is lovely💖

Hey y'all! I found photos showing how those extra bits are used with the clothespins! They were right there on the IKEA website all along. 😅 I posted the photos in the "community" section of our KZbin page here. They allow you to hang things from any kind of rod or pole, or to hang an extra row of things from a hanging rack, lower than the rest, so you can fit more things.

Just gunna mention. The water heater, boiler cannot heat water if there is no water.
