I recommend you read "Plain and precious things" by John (Dave) Butler. A lot of what they talk about, he talks a little more in debt. Plus, I believe they also have a special interview with him in this podcast where they talk a little more about the beattitudes. I think you'll enjoy it.

You mention that the sermon includes all the covenants we make in the temple. But I didn’t see consecration. Does that come later?

I enjoy your insights. You have raised a question in my mind however, which is where the covenant of baptism and the subsequent sacrament ordinances - you referred to them as chapel ordinances. I thought those were keys to the entrance into the Celestial Kingdom, not the Terrestrial kingdom. Have I misunderstood all these years? Was Jesus’ instructions to Nicodemus “except a man is born of water and the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God” an entrance into a terrestrial world?

Me again… In the Bible dictionary I find this language… “Baptism in water has several purposes. It is for the remission of sins, for membership in the Church, and for entrance into the celestial kingdom; it is also the doorway to personal sanctification when followed by the reception of the Holy Ghost.” Did I misunderstand your meaning?

There is a major difference between the terrestrial KINGDOM, and the terrestrial WORLD. One is a kingdom of glory reserved for those who choose to go there in the eternities. The other is a portion of this world in which we live and is part of our journey through it. Think temple. There are certain covenants we make in a terrestrial room, that represent our journey through the terrestrial world, not necessarily requirements to enter the terrestrial kingdom. Do you see the difference? In my journey into the celestial KINGDOM, I must journey through the telestial and terrestrial WORLDS. I must learn to leave behind the things that are telestial, and the things that are terrestrial. My point was that we make those initial covenants as we are journeying out of the telestial world and into the terrestrial world. I am in no way, suggesting that those ordinances are requirements to enter the terrestrial kingdom.
