Glad to see you back on the water sailing; imo I would mount a camera up on the mast so you can not only see at night but ahead of you while sailing from a lookouts point of view so to speak. and if you could get one that you can control which direction it points remotely or a 360 camera, i think that you would have a good setup to see what is ahead of you while sailing and as a security for night.

We love Solomons Island! Not sure where you are in real time but as you head up the Bay we live in Middle River on the water and have a lovely anchorage right in front of our dock on Stansbury Creek there are a number of marinas and restaurants near us as well! Message me if you decide to come.
