Thank you! So helpful to see a step by step on the window comes apart. I’m replacing my window frame, and this is one of the few videos I could find that was helpful

I enjoy the fact that you don't edit out all the frustrations and setbacks, it really captures the true experience, and like you said, why it takes so long to restore one of these beauties. Best of luck and keep up the good work!

I am in the same stage you are , just removed my fenders, grill, doors, and seats today. Cutting out some rust on my drivers kick panel, floor pan and APillar tonight. My first time doing anything like this. Freaking fun!

I loved the detail..great job on the video. Noticed the mention of "why is this going to take you 2 years?" I only asked because I have never watched anyone take on a project like this before and I'm interested in restoring a bronco in the future. Based on your videos so far, I'm going to need a lot more in the way of patience. I would have snapped half of the door items off and the window never would have made it out in one piece. Keep up the good work.

John Ruppert thanks! Yes, it was just a reminder to myself really. I go in thinking I will get x,y,z done in a session and then x takes twice as long and requires a run to the hardware store and so y&z have to wait until next weekend. Time just slips away.

You're doing a great job....keep it up! My son and I watch them together. He now wants me to go and get a Bronco and he thinks that it will magically transform itself into a great truck.

Thanks Matt for info. If anyone is restoring a 66 or 67 almost everything is different in the doors. Including striker posts! Company's say 66 to 77 on the strikers but you will have to cut out and move the door striker. To get the correct location clamp the panel to your door. Then mark where it goes.

Hi Matt…your videos have been very helpful! Thanks. Quick question…I’m having trouble figuring out how to get the screw off of the exterior door handle. Did you use a certain tool, can’t really tell what you used and how you got to it here. Thanks for any tips!

Hey Matt quick question my outside door handle stopped working but my inside handle still works perfect. It seems like the push buttons pushes in like half way now without engaging in anything but then you can feel it engage about halfway through. Would you have any suggestions on what it could be or what I'd need to replace? The only reason I ask is because you took the whole door apart so maybe you'd know something haha

Sir, sorry if you mentioned this before but what seats are those and do they only come in black? Thanks for taking the time to make these videos you and Nashville are a godsend to early bronco owners such as myself.
@MattsGarage
@MattsGarage 7 жыл бұрын
Hi Khalid. The seats look better on TV than they do in real life. They have tears and they are pretty poorly made seats. I don't know where the previous owner got them but I know from a tag underneath that they are made in China. They are also not specific to the Bronco as the supports looked homemade. If you have the budget, Tom's Bronco Parts has those nice new seats that come with all the mounting hardware. If that is out of your budget another option I hear is good is getting used Audi A4 seats from the wrecking yard because they have a low profile and are pretty comfortable. Thanks for your kind words. John is a great guy. I saw he just put his FiTech video up so I need to get off work and go watch it!
@khalid749
@khalid749 7 жыл бұрын
Yep, I just watched that too. I put the 600 on mine and just got it running properly with a lot of tuning and mods. Went with the TBP ceramic headers and i think the exact same intake as John. Had to drop the fuel tank due to corrosion and replaced it with a brand new one from TBP and welded a sump to it because I was having starvation issues. Turn key starting and runs like a top. Still trying to dial out a mild hesitation issue. As far as the seats, I'm a bit of a purist, but liked the outline of the ones you had. I've been holding out trying to find original seats for some time now with no luck. Found some in SOCAL but they wanted $1200 for them... no... So the search continues. Only thing chinese on my bronco is the FITECH (unfortunately) I'd like to keep that to a minimum. Thanks for the info!
