I still don't understand what a nurse coach really do. Not just about the money. Can you give scenario/s of what takes place during a session? Thank you.

Hi there! First, know that you are going to take your clients through a "Program"...a plan of care that address their health or life concerns to produce a certain outcome.. Say you are helping clients reverse DM II. During a session... which is structured... you will follow up on how they executed their actions steps: eliminate sugar, exercising etc. You will coach them so they can get a transformation in their heath...so knowing Habit change coaching techniques should be a skill. Your program should have a curriculum, workshops, and sessions. My programs can go as long as 18 months based on the severity of health problems. My sessions look like this: 1. Self Acknowledgment...what's going well? 2. Review on how the client executed the last set of action steps... no more than 3. 2. If they did not execute, motivate change 3. I give new info. Example "Mindful eating " or "good protein sources " 4. Then we do some kind of activity...Example "How to chew for better digestion". 5. Give actions step to clients to work on for the next 1-2 weeks. 6. Then I end with "what aha moment" they had from our session. I do these sessions in group every 2 weeks. Additionally, I do a weekly or biweekly 15 min "check in" phone call. This is one on one. I could keep going! Hope that helps!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I wouldn’t enroll in your program because your voice is too difficult to listen to.
