EP 2: Dr. Seth Postell: Intelligent Design | The Gather Podcast

Dr. Seth Postell (PhD in Hebrew Bible) serves as the academic dean of ONE FOR ISRAEL Bible College in Netanya Israel. His interests are in the literary approach to Scripture, Scripture's use of Scripture, narrative analogy, biblical theology, and the New Testament's use of the Tanakh. He has authored a number of publications including Adam as Israel (2011), Reading Moses, Seeing Jesus (2017) and essays in The Moody Handbook of Messianic Prophecy (2020), The Handbook of the Jewish Roots of the Christian Faith (2021), The Handbook of the Jewish Roots of the Gospels (2021), and in Reading the Psalms Theologically (2022). He has also published many academic articles and translated the Book of Genesis for the Tree of Life Version of the Bible (2019).

I have recently been studying a great little book that is a deep study on the Psalms by a Bulgarian Christian. This podcast really augments that for me. Many. many thanks! David Salinger used to be with Israel College of the Bible, I think. If you see him tell him Kathy from Washington State is praying daily for him and his whole dear family. Great dinner gentlemen. The meat was good !!!! Speaking of the Psalms I think the ascension steps or "degrees" in 120-134 is an awesome dive into the timing of His return as well. Jesus went up to a feast secretly because it was not yet His time. The ascension steps ....in Psalms ❤. God is so good and you can understand in simple ways like a child it's that easy and once you do you can go as deep as the Holy Spirit will allow you. We won't get the whole until we are all with Him but wow at all the cool nuggets we can each bring to the dinner table. Absolutely loving the podcasts. Thanks y'all. Hmmm.......don't the Levites go first ........singing and dancing bringing in Messiah . Got this strong feeling that dna test be wrong Aaron. Only Father truly knows ........grew up in southern Baptist realm my whole life. Didn't start reading and understanding the word of God until a few years ago when I sat by myself with the Holy Spirit only as my teacher. It truly is transforming and powerful and there you will find Jesus. Even in the type and shadows of Joshua, Melchizedek, Joseph and many many more . We serve an awesome God. Deep in my heart I always felt the Psalms were quite special and I could see how the Levites / musicians had the unique task to use music and the prayers to instruct Israel. I have a tee shirt that says in big letters JESUS LOVES YOU and the next line under it in smaller letters says ...but I am His Favotite. We should all think that way about our relationship with Christ... ...and by extension, the same goes for our brothers and sisters in Christ. So I am your best friend too. And so is Aaron.
