This may be my favorite Ted interview yet. Honestly, I'm almost embarrassed to say that I've watched nearly all of his interviews on KZbin and this one is really special: highly technical and full of science-y details. Also, wonderful interviewing skills from Dr. Gelb. Thank you so much!

Brilliant! Totally agree with Bella; the questions were the table of contents for the whole interview. All diabetics and people with weight issues should watch this, as it more or less takes you by the hand and guides you to a drug-free, healthier life. A big thank you for sharing!👍

I have coronary artery disease (I foolishly followed the food pyramid, which I failed to grasp is a HIGH SUGAR DIET) and have been watching youtube vids all day every day for the past year trying to learn proper nutrition in the hope of improving my cardiovascular health, and of the hundreds and hundreds of vids I've watched this one may be my favorite. Dr. Naiman is a genius and Dr. Gelb asked a ton of good questions and allowed Dr. Naiman time to answer each one.

Dr. Gelb provides a relaxed style of interviewing. It seems as if he is sitting in your living room. He is personable, analytical, and intuitive. His leading questions allow him to extract relevant health and living information from his authoritative expert that he interviews

Dr. Kerr Gelb offers professional and stylistic forum of health education for the public. His personal warmth radiates a sense of charisma. His questions are challenging and perfectly time to extract the modt valuable information from his guests. I agree with the previous comment that Dr. Geld should be on a nationAL television talk show and he would have a large following?

I've been using the principles of intermittent fasting and low carb diet for a couple of years now. While I did see a great improvement in my health, there was still something missing in the equation. Dr. Naiman put the missing pieces together for me and I am now finally losing those last stubborn 20 lbs, and I feel as healthy as I did in my 20s. (I'm 61). I've listened to enough of his lectures that I really didn't need his book, but I bought it nonetheless. It has great information and I recommend it to everyone.

I really enjoyed this podcast. Diabetes is such an insidious disease and getting information like this is invaluable. The connection between diet and Diabetes is fascinating. Thank you Dr Naiman and Dr Gelb for addressing this in the podcast. When the documentary 'Open Your Eyes' is released I highly recommend that all of you interested in diet and your health check it out. I've seen it and it is great! Dr Gelb has an easy going, engaging presence.

Wow! Just found this! Great job to both of you! I have been low carb now for 3 years. By far the best one hour I have listened to yet. Thank you. I have 135 morning glucose. Because I'm "adaptive glucose sparing" - (18:01). I found if a drink heavy whipping cream in my morning coffee my high morning blood sugars come down. I was 18/6 feeding window. Now I eat some fat or drink it in heavy cream as soon as I wake up. This keeps my blood sugar lower in the morning before my lunch.

From a fellow OD: All your interviewees are really great, so your judgement is excellent on who to talk to, and you are an excellent interviewer. You ask insightful questions and let them have the time they need and want to fully answer the questions. The vids would even be greater if they were taken in 16:9 aspect ratio and at a higher resolution. Overall, excellent work.

Excellent questions from Dr. Gelb. Been listening to Ted Naimen for a while, am a fan, and this was one of the best interviews because the questions were practical, which provided Dr. Ted to bring his “practicing physician” knowledge into the conversation more than most interviews.

Tendon ruptures are most likely caused by Oxalates. I've been off of vegetable oils for 17 years but was heavy into vegetable juicing daily and 4 years ago ruptured my Achilles tendon before going oxalate free and adopting a carnivore diet. My joints and aches that I once had are slowly vanishing after being on the diet for 2 years now.

Dr. Gelb, you mention a 3 hour Dr. Naiman lecture to the AllDocs group, any chance that the lecture will be made available to the non-medical community?
