That build up in the back chamber will coke from water level being too high. I noticed the same and reduced mine a little bit until I could see the water flowing in the 2nd chamber. Hope this helps

Thanks Sammy 😁 I will definitely try that

Would like to see a video on exactly how high to run your water level in one of these tanks!

My gramma made it into the filter section of my tank last week. I still have no clue how how he managed it. The tank is an aquatop 24g all in one. I am thinking he made a jump for it but still, it was beyond surprising to see him back there.
@BlueReefTank3 жыл бұрын
Luckily you found him! Sometimes when they got scared, they can bolt out of the tank. I always try to keep the lids on all the time haha

They are so cool! Can't wait to be able to see him in the Waterbox Cube 20

I haven’t seen mine ever since I introduced him earlier today, swam straight into a crack in the rockwork

Yeah they are very shy and love to hide. Mine hides all day long and only comes out for food 😐

@@BlueReefTank Haha I hear you, i’ve been looking for one for over 6 months and when I finally saw one at my lfs I had to get him. Can’t wait to see him grow with my tank

Water level should be an inch below the glass. If chamber 1 or 2 gets clogged and the return chamber dumps all its water into your display then it won’t go over.
@BlueReefTank3 жыл бұрын
I agree! but I love the looks of it though when the water level is high. Just gotta keep an eye on the back chambers and make sure they don't get clogged up I guess 😅
@bizzfo3 жыл бұрын
Also at an inch maybe a little bit less than an inch all the water gurgling sounds should go away.

00:47 remember the fish guard, it has been reported to mince anemones and fishes that get sucked from the back
@BlueReefTank3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reminder 😅 I am definitely going to put the fish guard once I put the fish in there. It's a pretty big hole for my clown goby

How is your RG doing in the 20 gallon? I want one of these so bad, but Ive heard conflicting opinions on tank size.
@BlueReefTank2 жыл бұрын
It is doing well! It mainly just stayed in its hidey holes. I don't think they need a big tank 😅

Hello! Just subscribed! I’m getting my Nero 3 soon and replacing my hydor pump. Would you think it’s a better idea to put the wave pump on the back of the tank if it’s too powerful? I currently have 2 clownfish and a royal gramma. Plan on getting a clown goby down the road as my last fish.
@BlueReefTank3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for subscribing! 😁 You can put it at the back too. I would set it at the location where the corals are the most happy (if you're keeping corals). If it's fish only, I wouldn't worry too much. The fish can figure out where to go if they want to getting blasted by the pump 😄
@paulshockley86323 жыл бұрын
@@BlueReefTank hello, yes I have some corals. It’s my first saltwater tank! Keeping it simple with softies and lps. Do you think 5 fish is too much for a 20 gallon? I currently have 3 but adding a clown goby isn’t much bio load. I was also considering a cardinal fish but that would be pushing it! Also how long have you had the toadstool coral? I didn’t get one because it gets big. Great videos!
@BlueReefTank3 жыл бұрын
That's awesome! Once you get into saltwater hobby, it's hard to switch back to freshwater haha. That should be fine as long as you don't add too many at once. I think you will get away with adding the cardinal. At the moment I have 7 fish in my Nuvo 16 but I'm going to move 2 of them in the Waterbox once it's cycled. I bought my toadstool probably 1-2months ago. They don't grow that fast in my tank but you can always frag it once it gets too big. 🙂

@@BlueReefTank yep, I was into freshwater for 20 years! Now I’m loving saltwater...wished I went with a bigger tank lol. But I do love the waterbox cube 20. What fish do you have in your nuvo 16? I saw a clown goby, 2 clowns, and 1 cardinal. What are you fish are you planning to have in your cube 20?
@BlueReefTank3 жыл бұрын
Small tank has its own beauty too in my opinion. When you have big tank with lots of fishes it can feel a bit too crowded 😅 I have 2 clowns, 1 cardibal, 1 Clown Goby, 1 blenny, 1 royal gramma and 1 more which I will reveal soon 😁 I am planning to move my gramma and goby to the cube 20. They go along really well

Hello. How long did you drip this one for? I’m thinking of getting one :)

I usually drip my fish & corals at least 1-1.5hrs. For invertebrates at least 3 hours 😁
