As I went walking (riding) I saw a fence there, And on the sign it said "No Trespassing." But on the other side it didn't say nothing. That side was made for you and me. - Woody Guthrie

Bruh did you forget in Episode 11 of TAT series I rode this exact route (in reverse) on my way to meet you in Trinidad? Including Old La Veta Pass? Did you get contact high in Tower 420? ;) Also, not sure why you aren't just running Gaia on a phone like the old days where you can see the route. I used one of those GarminGPS on the rental BMW's on the Dolomites trip and it seems so far in the past of technology

Of course I forgot! Shit, I can't even remember what the hell I did... I love gaia, but I hate the Gaia app for motorcycling. I can't deal with it. I'm looking into that DMD stuff maybe...

Take that zumo and sling it down through the woods and get an old phone or tablet for Gaia with the overland layer. It's updated all the time. I wouldn't fool with that gps unit for 30 seconds. Basecamp is the biggest hassle there's ever been.

Every swinging richard w/an action cam wants to be a big time motovlogger. Very few have the charm, charisma, or relatability to pull it off. Your eyeglass story is what makes this channel watchable. And, ya, they were indeed "extra", but u pulled it off the same way the artist formally known as Prince could pull of a pirate's blouse.

I appreciated this comment too much. THANK YOU! And btw - I've probably mentioned this in a video somewhere... I had some pirate blouse situations going on in my youth too. didn't pull it off.

I did that Pass on my 1984 Toyota some time in early 90's and dropping back onto Hwy there were some sections of snow. Guess you cant do it any more. So long ago I hardly remember it. 😂 I like taking those old routes if possible. Used to have to go between Durango and Denver off and probably 20 years or more. Lot of cool routes between those cities.

When I ride, I find helpful to keep the north up, so I notice if I'm riding in a circle. THe Zumo( now XT2 since I destroyed my XT) doesn't bother me that much, but I also ride with my phone on the other side, using the app that best suit the ride I'm doing that particular day, waze on the slab for cops, google maps when I'm looking for particular spots on the route I ride, like when I rode the 66 or Apps like gaia when I offroad a bit more. I didn't find one that does it all. I like this series, its memories from my trip this spring in Nm, Co & Ut

@@SomeGuyRides I looked at their site after you talked about it, it's pretty expensive too, I'll wait and see if people I know try it and like it. If everything goes according to plan, my zumo should be good for 5-7 years, like the zumo 350 I had before the xt

Hey Ang, as always enjoy the videos. I have the zumo xt also. The good thing about it as you mentioned, it is GPS based. You can find campgrounds and such hopefully. I do like the track recording feature of the zumo for those times when you're exploring new places. But the software pretty much sucks. I'm not a big fan of Bascamp. I can't tell you how many times BaseCamp didn't like my track and changed it for me taking me miles out of the way. And I didn't catch it till it was too late. So the zumo and I have a love hate relationship, so to speak.

Thanks . that's a lot of tech your riding with. also does your bike have the compass or is it a gear indicator? The previous owner of my Himi said it was a compass when he bought it and changed to the gear ind. A software update or something but mines an indicator for good i guess. Of course an Iphone has one if needed.
@SomeGuyRides2 ай бұрын
It came with the compass but the dash shit the bed so the new one has the gear indicator.
