@@ShesTheSkipper Right now we are tied to a dock in Zanzibar, off the east African coast. Next week we will push on to S. Africa where we will haul out for several months. More boat work but want to prepare for heading down to Tierra del Fuego....if Rebecca does not get too cold as we head south.

Also, the glue they use on can labels, boxes, and paperbags is a treat for cockroaches and other bugs, and the paper itself is somewhat hydrophilic, so ends up moldy pretty quick... long story short: No to paper aboard.

My parents moved from Seattle, Washington to a boat in Boston, Mass in 2012. They are both huge fans of Red Vines (as am I.) They couldn't find them on the east coast so I literally had to mail them bags. Twizzlers are a sad replacement. If you ever get the chance to try Red Vines instead of Twizzlers TAKE IT! I discovered you guys on Instagram and decided to check out your video. I'm loving it. Safe travels.

@@ShesTheSkipper I was lucky enough to get out to see them on their boat about 2 years ago for a week of fun on the ICW. They spent nearly a year in New England getting the boat ready to go and then headed south like you guys have. They are in Beaufort, South Carolina now. They hope to break out of there sometime and head out for more adventures. Of course, there is always something the boat needs.

The worst part is the labelling got inconsistent... We had tomatoes as 'diced sun drops' and peaches as 'slices of Sunshine' and all of a sudden I have a can that says 'sliced sun drops'.... These two things make very different dishes!!

That seemed like a great group of people who clearly helped you get those dock lines free! I don’t remember all the cans but I think the cat food was tuna! The can of sunshine was pineapple. The Irish crack soup ? Was this with potatoes?

Couldn't have done it without them! They became lifelong friends too as we are still in touch and I head back out that way next month! Tuna ✅ 🍍 ✅ Potatoes = potato soup which i will ✅ I needed your detective skills while cooking that whole year (we stuck with the ridiculous can names for entertainment the whole time!)

@@ShesTheSkipper now I have to rewatch the tins and go for gold . I predict failure Edit: fake cow squares - beef ravioli? Sugar milk - condensed milk? Babe in beans - tough one. Jon’s Australian so i suspect it’s something in baked beans. Hmm .. sausages in baked beans? Guess - ok! Tomato’s! Diced sun drops- hmmmmmm. I wanna say cranberries ? Fire fart drops - going to say chilli ? John whoever that is in a can - is this one tomatoes?

@@craftycroc pretty darn good. Guess was clam chowder I think in the end, diced sun drops was canned tomatoes and fire fart drops was spicy baked beans. The friends nickname was Gonzo, short for garbanzo beans so it was chickpeas... hahaa you would have survived on our boat for sure!

Cool videos. Just remember to always look into the lens and not the viewfinder.. you're supposed to talk to us and not yourselfs... And when in open waters or outdoors in general... wind and microphones not a good combo... Deadcats help a lot.. Sound is important and often overlooked. Safe and happy travels...

I have been trying to work at looking at the lens, good call! And we have a deadcat on our mic and that is the sound quality so looking into how to fix that! Open to suggestions otherwise will keep researching (when we have WiFi)

@@ShesTheSkipper the sound so far has been good. As far suggestion goes.. A røde directional and a Saramonic omnidirectional(SR-XM1) both with deadcats.. A very good and affordable all purpose mic kit

First video of yours I have seen. Not unusual, you need to speak clearly and concentrate on audio. When you explain something don’t trail off. I catch the beginning of sentences and sometimes lose the end. But still cool. Keep it up.
