Still is, you're just an oldhead who's stuck in the past. Adapt or die. The game is more skilled, it's evolved, it's more athletic, it's better in every sense. When a new thing comes up everyone abuses it and then a middle term is found. That's happened with 3pt shooting but it's becoming more balanced again, because teams are shooting the good mid range shots.

Underappreciated fact about the 95-96 Bulls: this was the first year they started Jordan, Pip, and Harp regularly. Initially the plan was to just have Jordan defend the opposing PGs, but at age 32 he had trouble doing that and also being relied upon to score 30 ppg. You could visibly see him getting tired in some games, esp if he had to guard someone like Penny or Damon Stoudamire. So they actually started relying on Harper to guard those PGs more often, and it really helped Jordan and the team. This was most visible in the playoffs against their two strongest foes: Sonics and Magic. Against the Magic, Pippen had primary defensive duties against Penny, Jordan had the easier assignment against Nick Anderson. Against the Sonics, Harp guarded Gary Payton, and Jordan had an easier time against Hershey Hawkins.

Say it right now...." It don't mean a thing without that ring!! " 😆 Haha yes sir!! Cmon man... that 1996 Bulls team with Ron Harper , Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen , Dennis Rodman, Toni Kukoc , Randy Brown , Jason Caffey , Steve Kerr , Luc Longley , Jud Buechler , Bill Wennington , James Edwards , John Salley , and don't forget about Dickey Simpkins!!!! Then you had Bison Dele aka Brian Williams in 1997 , the Chief Robert Parish at Center in 1997 , Scott Burrell in 1998 , and big Joe Kleine at Center in 1998. The 1996 Bulls team : 72 and 10 won their 4th ring The 1997 Bulls team : 69 and 13 won their 5th ring The 1998 Bulls team : 62 and 20 won their 6th ring One hell of a run!!!! I don't care which rule set you end up using but in a best of 7 game series between the 1996 Chicago Bulls vs the best of those Golden State Warriors teams from 2015 , 2016 , 2017, or 2018.....whichever one you want....even with a Kevin Durant.....the Bulls win that series in 6 games.

Brian Williams (B Dele) was signed by Chicago after the all star break so he only played like 35 games + playoffs but he was so effective for the Bulls the Pistons gave him a big contract next season in 98. Underrated signing for Chicago that yr.

Yall articulated how GSW wouldve had their challenges against the 90s Bulls, but to be objective I wish yall wouldve addressed some of the challenges the Bulls wouldve faced as well. Jordan was an automatic 30+ ppg Scottie could get you 20+ consistently GSW had 3 players that could all explode for 50+ on any given night Bulls only had 1 guy that could match that type of scoring With that being said, I think the Bulls had a defensive advantage, but I believe great offense can beat great defense. I could be wrong, but thats how i see it

Great interview. What he said about the last dance about keeping it on the court, that’s not fair. To me the worst thing about any of the players was when MJ didn’t want to publicly endorse a candidate his mother wanted him to against a known racist. That wasn’t on court stuff. Nothing Pip did in the last dance comes close to being as bad as that and MJ allowed that to be in it. Nobody says anything about that because MJ didn’t make a big deal about it. He owned it and moved on.

Waddup King and Harp!!! This coming from a man that graduated high school in 1996….. yeeeeeeaaaaahhh….. I witnessed every single one of those Bulls championships. Been watching since Bird and Magic. When MJ was drafted my interest in Basketball blossomed. I keep saying this between the difference in eras….. Today’s modern athlete has a mindset that’s always“distracted”. Those athletes from pre social media and technology in general had mindsets that wasn’t distracted by anything other than other sports. No video games. No social media. Nothing. They trained and practiced more than they played games. Conditioning and Defense was primary. Offense was secondary. The way things are setup with these athletes isn’t sustainable. It’s getting worse. Just not good overall.
