I love the weed eater outboard, I had a similar one for my dinghy 30 something years ago, weighed nothing, lots of power, and lots of rust.

recommend coating the outboard in cooking oil. prevents rust and it will smell like an egg roll after it heats up.

Here's a tip for the new outboard. Don't use outboard 2-stroke oil. Use 2-stoke oil meant for air-cooled power equipment, like weed eaters. That's basically what you got...a weed eater with a prop bolted to the end of it. It goes pretty good, though. Better get some ear plugs.

Better to have the bugs stuck in the paint than in the boat ! I bought a Chinese hedge cutter with a similar noisy engine 8yrs ago. Still got it , still runs perfectly. You never know your luck with Chinese stuff. And also, your emergency FA kit seems fine to me . I saw another boat (no names) he'd got more stuff than the local hospital ! Good episode guys, I'm sure Margerida will be back for the next one
