I had to watch this one again because that landscape is beautiful! Snow isn't always bad! I bet the different view of turkeys was neat!

Wait until you see the footage that we shot today! Beautiful Blue Sky with a touch of big white fluffy clouds, and the fresh snow! Much brighter that the last two weeks of video!

Nice job Chris and Kenny. Great subject and certainly one which can make or break your mental attitude when learning to fly. Can say from experience, be vague when you give your ETA home. Aviation has a tendency to ALWAYS make you late for an appointment or promised event. Keep it up gents, your doing a great job!

Thank you very much Dave for the compliment we appreciate that!

Becoming a pilot is a significant amount of time and effort. Chris and Kenny are right, but also once you get all those license and get out into the industry, based on where you go, a helicopter pilots life can be a very transient lifestyle. You usually go where the job is, don't usually move the family, you commute to/from your home base out to the job. Like flying in the Gulf, doing tours, doing utility work, Fire contracts, you can be gone for a few weeks to several months on contract. That's the life. It's a serious discussion that needs to be had w/the family that will be affected by you being gone. Especially if you have kids. Talk to pilots in the industry you are looking at working in. Chat groups, social media groups, special events, HOGS instructors etc. Go get the scoop on the lifestyle. Very important for you, but those that support you at home as well. An unhappy home life can lead to a distracted pilot on the job. Fly safe gang!

Excellent discussion today and 100% spot on. Learning to fly is “learning”. It’s like a lot of other similar graduate school courses, it requires time, commitment, dedication and support.

Yeah, I was dumped by a 3 year relationship after my intro flight because he was "jealous" (his words, not mine). I'm not sure if that was the real reason, but hey, I fly a helicopter now. I don't know what he's doing. :-)

He is even more jealous now! He could go flying with you and enjoy the view... It happened to me as well and now when I look back I'd say it was the best thing that happened. We shouldn't give up the love of aviation just because to stay in a mediocre relationship.

I support my commerical airline pilot. We argue because he doesn’t think that calling home daily “should be a requirement”. His crew always comes before me. He refuses to do a facetime dinner with me from hotel. He also goes out alone with female crew. And he threatens divorce all the time.

I always operate by the old adage, "Better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission", LOL. I've got a great wife - that's the only reason that even works. 😁
