Yes, I to have been victim of a Ebay SD card. Lost all vids of my 2 Salukis lure coursing. I was spiting nails as it was the best they ever ran. Smashing vids you have traveling through where I used to live.

Hi Suzanne. No that's never happened. You have to keep an eye on your boat at all times when locking. I always keep mine right up against the exit gate. The cill is marked with a white stripe on the lock edge . Thanks for watching Del and the hounds

I had to laugh when you told Spike to stop whinging. I have a Westie called Milo and I say exactly the same EVERY DAY. 🤦‍♂😂 Bratch has changed a bit since the 80's. Didn't have Red and Blue then. Just had to work it out and it was all painted Black and White.

Enjoyed the vlog thank you. Never buy anything from ebay now for cameras just a loads of crooks on there. Even if a product looks genuine its often not. I ordered a canon genuine batter charger and it caught fire and on complaining to Canon was told it was a fake.

You mentioned "cherry coloured diesel" can you run your engine on red diesel ? I cant remember the name but I was watching a vlog and that boater said you have to buy diesel at the full tax rate, but part of the bill for diesel you buy is not taxable if you have a diesel heater.

Hi Peter . Good old cherry 🍒 is sold at 2 rates on the cut. Rate 1 is no tax and is used for heating fuel and rate 2 is used for propulsion. Its up to you 100% what magical mix you want yo disclose at the pump 😬🤑😎

Hi Penny. I live on my boat and work from there. I also take on work away from the boat so travel and stay in my camper van. On the canals everyone can stay up to 2 weeks in one location unless there's a sign saying differently. Stay safe Del and the hounds

Good question. The top gate opens into the canal so has lots of space to swing where the bottom gates open into the lock which is tight on space so they use two gates which makes them shorter as to not hit the boat. Thanks for watching 😊

If its any consolation and I know its not, back in the day I took a canon on a canal trip... oh what a silly mistake it was... on the last day the strap broke and the camera bounced onto the footplate and ended up you know where. So if anyone dredges up a canon slr circa 1994 from the Northampton arm of the GUC, its mine..!

Hi John. Thanks for your comment. Its all down to the fact that biodiesel is added to red diesel now to help with emissions. Bacteria forms in the tank and feeds on it causing the dreaded diesel bug to form which then blocks your filters or worse. Why are Bratch Locks fed from ponds, and not the canal, like most locks are ? Sounds as if the card deleted the files so they should still be there, you should be able to recover the files as long as you don't take anything new that will overwrite them. You are welcome to contact me for more info.Have you tried Rescue Pro, or something similar, to see if the lost files can be recovered ?

As for your lost files, you have not lost the files, unless you have added a lot of new data since the files disappeared, what you have lost is the address to the files and the file names. Just the same as when you empty the deleted files in your recycle bin, the pc does not erase the files all it does is remove the address/name of them and that makes your pc believe the files have totally gone so it can write new data to the space the files occupied on your hard drive when it needs it but the files are still there and with the right software you can see those files and recover them if you want to, anyway that is how files are deleted or can be made to appear gone in very simple language ! I forgot to ask what operating system are you using ? Windows XP or 10, or something non Windows such as Linux or one of the others ?

Unfortunatly ebay is know for dodgy SD cards & USB sticks, so much so they have written their own FAQ page about them. Personally I would rather pay for a good known brand from Amazon. I buy 10-15 SD cards and 30-40 USB sticks per month and never had any problems using cheap Kingston ones from Amazon. Great video and don't let it get you down.
