This was interesting to watch. I grew up in Bern and I work in Zurich (I do some research and I give lectures at the ETH University). The Swiss are surely not the easiest folk to "crack" and their English skills also aren't always up to par lol. However, I must say, there are so many different cultures blended in here, that if you "look foreign" you can still be seen as Swiss as any other person. Of all my friends that I have had since kindergarden, I would say less than half are "pure Swiss", most are mixes like myself (my mother is from Finland). It's more about the language, so not German but really Swiss dialect. If you speak it fluently, people see you as Swiss, regardless of Ethnicity. But unless you wanna stay long-term, it's not worth studying. A good friend of mine now, moved here at age 28 from Mexico, he could not speak a word of German, let alone Swiss dialect. He learned the local dialect within 5 years to a level that now literally everyone just thinks he is Swiss the second his mouth opens. On another topic, have you seen the store "Yumi Hana" near the station? It's a half-Korean, half-Japanese import store. Not the cheapest but they have amazing stuff. I pass by once a week at least to get a Bibigo Kimchi refill (extreme addiction). I hope you manage to connect to some Swiss folk. Otherwise give me a shout if you wanna have lunch in Zurich once, with a not-so-Swissy-Swiss 😂

You can also be Swiss by not speaking Swiss German. WTF I am Swiss and I speak Italian since I am from Ticino. I am always surprised why Swiss people think they fully regard you as Swiss by only speaking Swiss German. First of all, you should know best, that we have FOUR languages and not only Swiss German, second of all, a German or Austrian not speaking Swiss German with a Swiss passport is STILL a Swiss. Some people grew up abroad and have one Swiss parent, do not speak Swiss German or Italian, French etc. and are still SWISS!!! There is no PURE Swiss, not even by look. Your comment is full of racism and discrimination. You dont need to be accepted by anyone or regarded as Swiss. Please stop the Swiss German bullshit. How would you feel if someone tells you in Ticino you are only accepted being Swiss if you speak fluently Italian? We have many people here, speaking better Italian and becoming Swiss, than Swiss Germans but they are still considered Swiss even if their Italian maybe isnt fluent. Gosh. Stop saying that you are only accepted if you are speaking Swiss German fluently also if you dont "look pure Swiss" wtf. THAT is SO racist.

I agree...similar to the Northwest Freeze! After being here over a year....the friends I have made are also foreigners....and neighbors....who also have dogs. If you get a dog....you will make lots of friends! :)

Dogs are "connectors". Mothers will find that babies do have the same features. Easy to connect with another mother if they two babies greet each other.

Increase the distance between lens and face and use a longer focal lens. Fish eye and super wide lenses are used to get that effect. ideally not on faces.

Means that all people with interesting meaningful IQ might learned many languages by their own self education and she might want to hang out with high IQ level people, and not with the primitive, which is obviously her right as everyone else's.

hey this was recommended to me and i haven't watched the entire video, but i just want to say, as a young woman please please pleaseee be careful posting "i live alone" type vlogs. someone who knows the city well can easily tell what streets you're filming and could probably guess your neighborhood/where you live. stay safe 🙏

@@matthiasprusaczyk3666 im from switerland too, i feel super safe here but that's not the problem. im not saying this girl will be robbed and murdered in broad daylight. stalkers are very sneaky. maybe you're not even aware of their existence. maybe it's someone you know who is a friend or a family member, who wants to harm you and can use your youtube videos to figure out where you live. and this harm is not always obvious or criminalised either. a pervert can just follow you around for no reason and take pictures of you when you're not looking. zurich is not safe from sick in the head obsessive freaks.

@@matthiasprusaczyk3666 especially when a young woman is showing her personal life! a maniac can "fall in love" with her and easily figure out where she lives. follow her around, spike her drink, take photos, blackmail her so that she doesn't report them to the police... people are sick and twisted. sure, there are no violent crimes in zurich, but don't underestimate how creepy people can be, you'd be surprised of what some people are capable of, you should always watch out

Swiss are so paranoid when it comes to a gentle general conversation by étiquette or a funny small talk. But are dumb when it comes to female safety and general étiquette. Yes, agree, a guy from my field I.T. work followed me here, jumping in a bus and seeing which building I am living into ( bus stop is in front of my house) and then the next day he just arrived and ask my neighbors which flat I'm living into, they let him enter(!!!) even as I have seen him exiting the bus he start to masturbate on the street walking few meters from me and asking me if I'd like to see it, as a crazy maniac, I was scared even to scream cause I was afraid he can stab me or beat if I'll reject him, cause come one talking with new people is fine and good for brain, but getting naked in front of the street being an ugly dude is waaaay sick . I was so scared and feeling so unsafe seeing him, as I open my door from the flat, as the naive neighbors let him enter not even MAKING A CALL FOR 20 SECONDS TO ME TO ASK ME IF IM WAITING FOR ANYONE ,whether they have had my phone number!!!!. I am also angry that the naive neighbors let enter such a perverted primitive beast , meanwhile they could have told him "go away" or ask him "have you been invited?" Plus "if no, then go away" or "call her by yourself and arrange the meeting" . They still don't know how sick and suck he acted, and that was my first month in Zurich, so I didn't know whom to ask for help, safety and moral support 😭😭😭

@@matthiasprusaczyk3666only man can say that or an ugly woman. Women are treaten with no charm , no éthiqutte and no kind humor and no gentle care here often, even before midnight. Plus, my things were stolen here in 1 year more often and more things that ever before in any country during years. So no narcissistic self-complimenting to raise the ego and look as an isolated narciss.
