Those were some very bold cuts will be interesting to see how it response. As Xav said sometimes you just have to do these things to get the desired end result even if it takes a few years. Stay safe Mr Taco 👍🙏

Definitely. I’m confident this will be an all star. Now, it can start to heal over as soon as possible. Cheers Jay.

Sorry about the weather Taco. Apparently we’re getting it next week 😢. Beautiful white bark and bend in the trunk.I love the lipstick tip. Would a lip balm do the same? Great job of pruning 👏

Not sure about lip balm but I suppose that would make sense. It may even work better to help heal! I’ll give it a try!

@@tacobonsai I don’t know either I was just thinking about the seal and transparency 😀

@@ggevergreenbonsai1259 that and many lip balms have nutrients to help heal chapped lips faster. It may not be as permanent but even just plain ole wax is enough

OUCH! 😨 I know nothing about bonsai...but I think those cuts would be a "no-no" on full sized trees. Something about a "collar", I think?

I have no clue! It did fine until it was carried off the shelf by birds and dried out when I wasn’t home. Willows grow very vigorously but don’t like to dry out I only know that.

The hardest cuts are always for the best. That was definnitely an episode from The Bonsai Zone. Okay 'The Taco Zone'. Great decisions and the tree will come on massivley for it. Your only problem is getting its pronouns right :)

Hah I have a buddy a pineapple plant and he put it in a pot that stated “this plant has no gender” on the front. I don’t know why I said that. I do slightly idolize a lot of you successful creators so maybe that’s it. It needed the knife. Thank you for the support.
