Hi I'm Steve I worked up at the granduc mine in 80s,that tunnel you and your family were observing were tunnels for the mine busses heading up to the mines,those areas are heavy avalanche areas in the winter

Oh, so the tunnel was not part of the mine proper, but was used as a way to get around the avalanche area? Interesting.

what was the gas prices like

In Canada it ranged from around $3 per gallon US equivalent in the populated areas to closer to $4 a gallon in the remote areas. This was of course pre-Covid as I'm sure gas prices are much lower now.

@@jervisman2 I am sure you need a home equity loan to fill up in the Yukon now. Things have obviously changed severely for the worse in the past year
