Good stuff. Especially appreciate the feeds & speeds -- I'm too cheap to test a bit to failure, so have had to be super conservative with tiny bits in metal -- great to see some 1F-specific data. A little puzzled by the 3 different versions though. You show one set of settings on screen, say something a little different, then include yet a 3rd version in the text.

I’ve been struggling with making brass clock dials, and one lesson learned was that brass alloys have different hardness. A lot of the sheet brass is alloy 260, which bends well, but doesn’t machine well. Brass alloy 360 was so often used in clock that some call it “clock brass”. But I can’t find that in sheets. The closest I can find is 353. Please consider adding the alloy you chose to the “what did he use?” Section of the video. If 260 works, that’s exciting, and I’ll blame my Amana bits. My next effort is Bits&Bits cutters.

Nice! Now I need to make my own logo in brass. Do you guys have a file for that spoilboard somewhere? I'm almost done setting up my Elite Foreman. The t-track and MDF pieces are next, but that MatchFit solution looks like a great addition to the MDF.

I am running a Makita router . What are you using ? I haven't done much with my machine yet buy metal cutting is of big interest to me.

Using a spindle, but the makita router can definitely do it too!

Hi, I’ve been looking at a cnc to create a small brand. Is there a limit to how small of a resolution that can be created? I’m thinking of the limitations of the bit but also how small you can go without the heat bleeding between elements of the brand.

It can engrave really small. Not sure about the heat bleed.

You can cut deeper. Most of the bleed comes from the background, not the part that's burning.
